Edgar Hoover Building on Pennsylvania Avenue. He wants to relocate the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ted-cruz-is-right-bidens-ban-of-terms-like-illegal-alien-is-orwellian-designed-to-cover-up-the-truth\/\" title=\"Ted Cruz Is Right: Biden\u2019s Ban Of Terms Like \u2018Illegal Alien\u2019 Is Orwellian, Designed To Cover Up The Truth\">premier law enforcement agency<\/a> out of the Washington region, possibly to Alabama.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The Committee remains concerned about the politicization of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-jordan-wants-congress-to-deny-funds-for-new-fbi-headquarters-unless-its-outside-of-washington\/\" title=\"Rep. The centralization of FBI operations in the National Capitol Region has led to duplication of activity best left to the respective field offices, contributed to reduced autonomy in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grand-scale-tens-of-thousands-of-illegal-aliens-being-released-into-u-s-ex-ice-official-says\/\" title=\"\u2018Grand Scale\u2019: Tens Of Thousands Of Illegal Aliens Being Released Into U.S., Ex-ICE Official Says\">local field offices<\/a>, and allowed improper political influence to taint law enforcement investigations and activity,&#8221;<\/p>\n<footer>Mr. Jordan told Ms. Granger in a July 11 letter obtained by The Epoch Times.<\/footer>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Mr. Jordan is requesting that no funds be used to build a new FBI headquarters. He also directs the FBI to submit an operational plan within 90 days to move the headquarters out of the National Capital Region, considering the resources available at the FBI&#8217;s Redstone Arsenal Campus in Huntsville, AL.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5367388\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2023\/06\/30\/id5367388-06282023-DSC04566-FBI-1200x800.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a><br \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2023\/06\/30\/id5367388-06282023-DSC04566-FBI-1200x800.jpg\" alt=\"Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) building in Washington on June 28, 2023. (Madalina Vasiliu\/The Epoch Times)\"><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<p>This request regarding the FBI headquarters is just one of 39 funding actions sought by Mr. Jordan as the House of Representatives works on 12 appropriations bills before the Sept. 30 deadline.<\/p>\n<p>If the bills are not sent to President Joe Biden for signature by then, the federal government may face a shutdown until the necessary funds are approved.<\/p>\n<p>Among the other funding requests are measures to prevent the Department of Justice (DOJ) from using tax dollars to investigate &#8220;politically sensitive&#8221; individuals unless career civil servants are in charge of such investigations.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a proposal to deny funding for labeling communications by United States persons as misinformation, disinformation, or mal-information.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the requests include measures to prohibit the use of tax dollars for officials who retaliate against whistleblowers or suppress the constitutional rights of DOJ or FBI employees under the First Amendment.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3577706\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2020\/11\/13\/justice-alito-1200x800.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a><br \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2020\/11\/13\/justice-alito-1200x800.jpg\" alt=\"Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel Alito testifies in Washington on March 7, 2019.
