Both brands are, like Bud Light, owned by the Anheuser-Busch brewing company.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Budweiser trends have been slipping for a very long time, but it\u2019s the Michelob Ultra negative numbers and now Busch Light negative trends that are most alarming to me,&#8221; Bump Williams, whose consulting firm ran the numbers from NielsenIQ data, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/07\/10\/bud-light-sales-plunge-28-5-ahead-of-july-4-sister-brands-also-hit\/?utm_source=twitter&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_campaign=nypost\">told<\/a> the <em>Post<\/em>. &#8220;They were very healthy prior to April 1.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sales of Bud Light the week prior, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/bud-light-sales-plummeted-ahead-of-july-4-weekend\/\">ending<\/a> on June 24, were 27.9 percent lower than during the same period last year. The brand&#8217;s troubling numbers came despite Bud Light <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/bud-light-offers-free-beer-as-sales-see-steepest-decline-yet\/\">giving<\/a> out rebates for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bud-light-sales-plummeted-ahead-of-july-4-weekend\/\" title=\"Bud Light sales dropped before July 4th.\">free beer ahead<\/a> of Independence Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Bud Light this year <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/bud-light-sales-plummeted-ahead-of-july-4-weekend\/\">lost<\/a> its position as America&#8217;s top selling beer. It was the second-best-selling beer in the four weeks leading up to June 3, making up 7.3 percent of U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dylan-mulvaney-slams-bud-light-for-not-giving-support-after-backlash\/\" title=\"Dylan Mulvaney criticizes Bud Light for lack of support post-backlash.\">retail-store beer purchases<\/a>. Bud Light is <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/bud-light-falls-from-most-liked-beers-list\/\">now<\/a> no longer one of America&#8217;s 10 most popular beers.<\/p>\n<p>Bud Light&#8217;s problems come after months of boycotting by conservatives. The brand&#8217;s troubles began in April, when its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney became public. Mulvaney <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/bud-light-recruits-trans-activist-for-ad-campaign\/\">revealed<\/a> the collaboration on social media on April 1, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/bud-light-is-no-longer-the-top-selling-us-beer\/\">showing<\/a> a Bud Light can featuring the influencer&#8217;s face.
