O\u2019Rourke\">legendary career<\/a> would not have been possible without them.<\/p>\n<p>The 76-year-old singer\u2019s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour\u2019s final show took place at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, where he closed out his final set with \u201cYour Song\u201d and \u201cGoodbye Yellow Brick Road,\u201d then addressed the crowd, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/07\/09\/elton-john-thanks-fans-for-52-years-of-pure-joy-as-he-retires-from-touring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Page Six<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve had the most wonderful career, beyond belief,\u201d the legendary singer said. \u201c52 years of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/elton-john-ends-50-years-of-touring-with-message-to-fans\/\" title=\"Elton John concludes 50+ years of touring, sends heartfelt message to fans.\">pure joy playing music<\/a>, how lucky am I to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/south-korea-imposes-ridiculous-rules-banning-high-speed-on-treadmills-fast-music-at-gyms-during-covid-spike\/\" title=\"South Korea Imposes \u2018Ridiculous\u2019 Rules Banning High Speed On Treadmills, Fast Music At Gyms During COVID Spike\">play music<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, ya know, I wouldn\u2019t be sitting here and talking to you if it wasn\u2019t for you,\u201d he added. \u201cYou bought the singles, the albums, the CDs, the cassettes, but more importantly, you bought the tickets to the shows and you know how I love to play live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following his concert, the five-time Grammy winner told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/elton-john-performs-emotional-final-farewell-show-as-he-retires-from-touring-207683\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a> he was still \u201ctrying to process\u201d that his touring days are officially over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think it will sink in for a while yet that I\u2019ve finally finished touring,\u201d he added. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you how much I\u2019m going to miss the fans and how much their support has humbled me \u2014 it will stay with me forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we set off on my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/first-female-chess-grandmaster-sues-netflix-for-the-queens-gambit-insult\/\" title=\"First Female Chess Grandmaster Sues Netflix For \u2018The Queen\u2019s Gambit\u2019 Insult\">final tour<\/a> in 2018, I couldn\u2019t have foreseen in my wildest dreams the twists and turns and the highs and lows this tour \u2014 and the whole world \u2014 would have experienced in the next five years,\u201d John continued. \u201cAnd every step of the way, my fans have been there.
