This conflict revolves around munitions, and they are running low on ammunition while we also have limited supplies. So, based on the Defense Department&#8217;s recommendation, I decided to temporarily provide the Ukrainians with 155 shells that have a very low dud rate. These shells are least likely to cause unintended explosions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Moreover, they are not used in civilian areas. The goal is to defend against tanks and navigate through trenches. It was not an easy decision, and we are not signatories of the ban on these weapons. However, I was convinced that it was necessary. The Ukrainians either have the means to halt the Russian advance in these areas or they don&#8217;t.
