Since a 15-pack costs less than $15 in many areas of the country, that amounted to giving the beer away. And still consumers stayed away.<\/p>\n<p>Some industry experts say the damage to the brand has been so catastrophic that it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nyt-reveals-desperate-bud-light-really-will-ever-recover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">might never recover<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Wagner, the manager of Glenn Miller\u2019s Beer &#038; Soda Warehouse in Pennsylvania, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/06\/29\/business\/bud-light-sales.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> that Bud Light sales at his distribution center have tanked 45 percent since April.<\/p>\n<p>For reference, Bud Light launched its ad campaign featuring trans activist Mulvaney on April 1. It has been a downward spiral for the brand ever since.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not that [customers] stopped drinking beer,\u201d Wagner said. \u201cThey just stopped buying Bud Light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The industry insider said it\u2019s possible that Bud Light may never recover some of its lost customers in the wake of the Mulvaney debacle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve seen longtime Bud Light customers trying other beers,\u201d he told the Times. \u201cIf they find something they like, they may not come back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bud-light-keeps-losing-this-is-even-worse-than-dropping-from-the-1-spot\/\" title=\"Bud Light's Decline: A Worse Fall Than Losing #1.\">beer industry experts agree<\/a> that the damage Bud Light did when it cavalierly used a man pretending to be a woman to promote its brand could have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/young-americans-must-lead-the-way-in-opposing-additional-covid-shutdowns\/\" title=\"Young Americans Must Lead The Way In Opposing Additional COVID Shutdowns\">long-term consequences<\/a> beyond just this summer.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/joe-rogan-loose-dylan-mulvaney-amid-bud-light-fiasco-mentally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bud Light<\/a> is being decimated during the critical summer sales season \u2014 May through August \u2014 which makes up as much as 40 percent of annual beer sales.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere we are about 10 weeks into it, and we\u2019re still seeing double-digit declines in volumes nationally,\u201d beverage industry consultant Bump Williams told the Times. \u201cThis is no longer an anomaly.
