No, coke inside the halls of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kjp-imply-cocaine-white-house-just-thing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no big deal<\/a>. Provided the president is Democrat, of course. And has a cokehead (or formerly cokeheaded, to be perfectly fair) son.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/lab-test-confirms-white-substance-found-white-house-cocaine-rcna92660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>, the bag of the illicit drug was found during a routine patrol on Sunday. On Wednesday, lab results positively identified the substance; White House press secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/karine-jean-pierre-flounders-5-reporters-team-corner-hunter-biden-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karine Jean-Pierre<\/a> subsequently informed the media that it was found in an area heavily trafficked (pun unintended) by visitors.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cWhat I wanted to be very clear is that this is a heavily, heavily trafficked, heavily traveled, to be more accurate, area of the campus of the White House,\u201d she said Wednesday. \u201cIt is where visitors to the West Wing come through.\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>NBC News reported Thursday that it was found in a cubby sources said was \u201ctransited by VIPs, visitors, tourists, staff members, military officials and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/incredibly-irresponsible-karine-jean-pierre-snaps-at-reporter-over-question-about-cocaine-in-the-white-house\/\" title=\"'Highly Irresponsible:' Karine Jean-Pierre's Sharp Response to Cocaine Question in White House\">facilities operations employees<\/a>.\u201d It was not, as previously reported, found in the West Wing lobby, which makes it more likely this wasn\u2019t just a tourist.<\/p>\n<p>I know what you\u2019re thinking, and let\u2019s dismiss it right off the bat: The Bidens were at Camp David when the cocaine was found, although it\u2019s unclear whether Hunter was with them. Whatever the case, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rep-comer-announces-investigation-cocaine-discovery-shameful-moment-white-houses-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced an investigation<\/a> into the incident in a Friday letter to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, calling the matter an \u201cunacceptable and a shameful moment in the White House\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Or, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/history\/2023\/07\/06\/white-house-cocaine-jfk-willie-nelson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a> tried to frame it, just part of the rich history of illicit substances at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!<\/p>\n<p>In a piece titled \u201cWillie Nelson got high on the roof \u2014 and other White House drug stories,\u201d Post writer Gillian Brockell traced drug use at the White House from the country music legend and another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pathetic-wapo-covers-for-biden-by-publishing-story-saying-cocaine-in-wh-goes-all-the-way-back-to-fdr\/\" title=\"WaPo defends Biden, claims cocaine in WH dates back to FDR.\">famous musical weed aficionado back<\/a> to, very speciously, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.<\/p>\n<p>First, yes, \u201cWillie Nelson smoked a marijuana joint on the roof of the White House during a visit to then-President Jimmy Carter in 1980, according to Nelson himself, who has told the story over and over and over. He even puff-puff-passed it to a White House \u2018servant,\u2019 Nelson claimed. In 2020, Carter confirmed the \u2018servant\u2019 was actually his son James Earl \u2018Chip\u2019 Carter III.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, these were indeed just after the \u201970s and during the Carter administration, neither fantastic periods in our country\u2019s history. Plus, name me a day of the week Willie Nelson isn\u2019t smoking marijuana and I\u2019ll credit you with discovering a day of the week which doesn\u2019t end in Y.<\/p>\n<p>Same goes for rapper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/snoop-doggs-sleepy-joe-og-cannabis-post-gets-political-dont-ride-bike-hit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Snoop Dogg<\/a>, who boasted of getting high off the sticky icky icky in the White House bathroom in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Dogg alleges he asked someone to use the bathroom. \u201cThe CIA. Or the FBI. The alphabet boys. So I said, \u2018Look, when I do the No. 2, I usually, you know, have a cigarette or I light something to get the aroma right.\u2019 They said, \u2018You know what? You can light a piece of napkin.\u2019 I said, \u2018I\u2019ll do that.\u2019 And the napkin was this,\u201d he said, taking a drag off of a marijuana blunt.<\/p>\n<p>The Post then goes on to note that infamous (but unconfirmed) anecdotes have John F. Kennedy smoking pot in bed with a mistress and getting amphetamine injections from an infamous physician nicknamed \u201cDr. Feelgood.\u201d (The last one actually has a bit of <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/2013\/11\/strange-saga-of-jfk-and-dr-feelgood.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">factual basis<\/a> to it.)<\/p>\n<p>But the low of lows is dragging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fdr-insidious-plan-court-packing-failed-biden-may-using-right-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FDR<\/a> into it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHistorian Steven M. Gillon made quite a claim in 2012 while researching a book about President Franklin D. Roosevelt,\u201d the Post noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhite House records for Dec. 7, 1941 \u2014 the day the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor \u2014 show Roosevelt, who was suffering from one of his chronic sinus infection at the time, spent more than an hour that evening with White House physician Ross McIntire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a time with no antibiotics, small doses of cocaine were a standard medical treatment for sinus infections, Gillon found. It is not clear whether Roosevelt would have become intoxicated with the doses, or whether McIntire would have even told Roosevelt what he was using for treatment. Whatever the doctor was doing, Roosevelt liked it: McIntire visited the White House frequently and even traveled with the president.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nor was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-repeats-misleading-claim-even-left-leading-wapo-called-bottomless-pinocchio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Post<\/a> the only paper echoing this story; over in Merrie England, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/jul\/06\/cocaine-in-the-white-house-a-brief-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K. Guardian<\/a> was also rehashing Gillon\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoosevelt\u2019s official physician was a respected ear, nose and throat doctor named Ross McIntire, who would use cotton swabs to clear the president\u2019s sinuses, a process witnessed by the attorney general Francis Biddle, who described in his notes McIntire \u2018swabbing out FDR\u2019s nose,&#8217;\u201d the Guardian reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGillon consulted medical journals and spoke to top ENT doctors familiar with the profession\u2019s history who agreed: \u2018Cocaine was the drug of choice\u2019 for the procedure back then, making it likely that Roosevelt had received it. \u2018It was nothing unusual, it was common practice, and it wasn\u2019t illegal,\u2019 Gillon says. (Even today, cocaine is a controlled substance that doctors can legally use in situations like sinus surgery.)\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll never know because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wh-press-sec-reminded-1-glaring-problem-oval-office-biden-denounces-fdr-shameful\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roosevelt\u2019s<\/a> medical records mysteriously \u201cwent missing\u201d after his death in 1945. (As the Guardian notes, this is likely due their deliberate destruction; White House doctors likely didn\u2019t want America or historians to know they were aware of just how sick FDR was when he ran for a fourth term in 1944.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if he was receiving it, there\u2019s a good chance Roosevelt wouldn\u2019t have known about it,\u201d the Guardian reports. \u201cAccording to the prevailing medical literature of the day, doctors were advised not to tell patients that they were receiving cocaine (\u2018The habit-forming properties of this drug are well known and must be ever guarded against,\u2019 read one textbook). \u201cUnless Roosevelt had asked, he would not have been told,\u2019 Gillon says.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But who knows? Perhaps Bolivian marching powder was what was responsible for easily the most preposterous scene in Michael Bay\u2019s thoroughly preposterous movie \u201cPearl Harbor\u201d (accurately trashed by critic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rogerebert.com\/reviews\/pearl-harbor-2001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roger Ebert<\/a> as \u201ca two-hour movie squeezed into three hours, about how on Dec. 7, 1941, the Japanese staged a surprise attack on an American love triangle\u201d) where the president \u2026 well, take a look for yourself, because no mere words can do this \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0094517\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mystery Science Theater 3000<\/a>\u201c-level garbage justice:<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>An exact cinematic historical depiction of events \u2014 brought to you courtesy of the stimulating properties of the coca leaf, a sinus infection, and the wasted acting talents of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-jon-voight-chokes-retelling-story-time-trump-rose-occasion-employee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jon Voight<\/a> as he struggles his way out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rapper-cardi-b-announces-plan-become-politician-sooo-much-ideas-make-sense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a wheelchair<\/a> to symbolize the American spirit, or something.<\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s face it, this has nothing to do with America having an interest in the history of drugs \u2014 and especially cocaine \u2014 inside the White House. Instead, both the Post and the Guardian are well-known <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disneylands-snow-white-ride-sparks-leftist-outrage-over-lack-of-consent-in-cartoon-kiss\/\" title=\"Disneyland\u2019s \u2018Snow White\u2019 Ride Sparks Leftist Outrage Over \u2018Lack Of Consent\u2019 In Cartoon Kiss\">left-wing outlets<\/a> also very aware that this unpleasant discovery comes not long after, um, another discovery:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">UK  Daily Mail headline<\/p>\n<p>How reckless Hunter Biden photographed himself driving at 172mph while behind the wheel of his Porsche en-route to a days-long Vegas bender with prostitutes \u2013 and pictured himself smoking CRACK while behind the wheel <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fhcJXmtGkF\">pic.twitter.com\/fhcJXmtGkF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MiniTrue Archive (@MiniTrueArchive) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MiniTrueArchive\/status\/1675527691985100801?\">July 2, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Robert Hunter Biden\u2019s cocaine use \u2014 combined with a plea deal on tax and gun charges that were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-york-times-makes-huge-hunter-biden-admission-paragraph-21-lengthy-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more than tangentially related<\/a> to that cocaine use \u2014 are one of many threats the president faces in his 2024 re-election bid, and it doesn\u2019t help when the drug is found inside the West Wing, even if Hunter isn\u2019t the man responsible. It\u2019s like wearing a blue dress to a Clinton Foundation benefit and not realizing there\u2019s a prominent stain on it until your photo op with Bill: It\u2019s not the former president\u2019s fault, but let\u2019s face it, it doesn\u2019t bring back happy memories for anyone involved.<\/p>\n<p>So, the coupling of cocaine and the presidential mansion has to be made to look as normal as blueberry pie. Even FDR might have done it! I mean, not <em>really<\/em> and only for medical procedures, but play along here. We\u2019re talking about\u00a0<em>anything<\/em> that has to do with drugs and the presidency but doesn\u2019t remind us about Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s speculate about JFK! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/zg-universal-pictures-partners-with-snoop-dogg-for-biopic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Snoop Dogg<\/a>! Willie Nelson in the Jimmy Carter White House! Heck, one of Carter\u2019s close journalist friends, a notable drug user himself, had <a href=\"https:\/\/archives.cjr.org\/review\/some_kind_of_journalist_1.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this to say<\/a> about the president: \u201cHe\u2019d put me in jail in an instant if he saw me snorting coke in front of him. He would not, however, follow me into the bathroom and try to catch me snorting it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What was that guy\u2019s name again? Uh, let\u2019s see. Rolling Stone journalist, did a bunch of campaign trail reportage in the 1970s, used the words \u201cfear\u201d and \u201cloathing\u201d frequently. Oh \u2014 that\u2019s right! Hunter S. Thompso\u2026<\/p>\n<p>You know what? Let\u2019s go back to talking about FDR. That cokehead, Roosevelt!
