However, this claim has already been denounced as fiction by fact-checkers.<\/p>\n<p>Biden confidently stated, &#8220;I cut the deficit $1.7 trillion in two years. He stated that the claim was &#8220;highly misleading&#8221; and worthy of &#8220;Three Pinocchios.&#8221; Kessler also highlighted that Biden had increased the national debt by about $850 billion more than originally projected in his first two budgets.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Kessler pointed out that the deficit picture has worsened under Biden, and the president has enacted legislation that will require the federal government to borrow even more.
