Tom Cotton (R-AR) for his decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-to-send-cluster-munitions-to-ukraine\/\" title=\"US to provide Ukraine with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cluster-bomb-kills-ukrainian-child-and-two-others-at-kindergarten-amnesty-international-says\/\" title=\"Cluster Bomb Kills Ukrainian Child and Two Others at Kindergarten, Amnesty International Says\">cluster munitions<\/a>.&#8221;>send cluster munitions<\/a> to Ukraine. As an Army veteran, Cotton issued a statement in response to the White House&#8217;s announcement on Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fauci-says-mask-wearing-must-continue-until-virus-not-a-threat-at-all-likely-into-late-2021\/\" title=\"Fauci Says Mask-Wearing Must Continue Until Virus \u2018Not A Threat At All,\u2019 Likely Into Late 2021\">expressing support<\/a> for providing Ukraine with these weapons in light of Russia&#8217;s use of the same against them.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;For Ukrainian forces to defeat Putin&#8217;s invasion, Ukraine needs at least equal access to the weapons Russia already uses against them, like cluster munitions,&#8221; Cotton wrote. &#8220;Providing this new capability is the right decision\u2014even if it took too long\u2014and is one I&#8217;ve long supported.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cotton has been vocal about his stance on supporting Ukraine, previously urging Biden to &#8220;send everything that shoots&#8221; to their friends in Ukraine. He criticized the administration for not taking action sooner, which he believes has prolonged the war and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tom-cotton-agrees-with-biden-on-sending-cluster-munitions-to-ukraine\/\" title=\"Tom Cotton supports Biden's decision to provide cluster munitions to Ukraine.\">caused unnecessary bloodshed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Before Russia invaded Ukraine, Cotton warned of the imminent threat, attributing it to President Biden&#8217;s perceived weakness. Due to their devastating impact, over 100 countries have banned the use of these weapons.<\/p>\n<p>However, not everyone agrees with Biden and Cotton&#8217;s decision. Reps.
