I\u2019m walking proof right now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd country music definitely, we definitely need to bring back God in our songs and not run from the fact that the Lord is what built us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>When a panelist jokingly asked whether Matthew had been sent out to tell him he needed Jesus, the singer said, \u201cHey, we all need Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>A Promising Newcomer in the Music Business<\/h3>\n<p>Matthew, who was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, is a promising newcomer in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ed-sheeran-vows-quit-music-industry-altogether-loses-court-case-report\/\">music business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He released his debut album, \u201cBorn for This,\u201d and the single \u201cShe Loves Jesus\u201d last year. That was followed by his \u201cCome Get Your Memory\u201d album this year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<h3>Rising Above Adversity<\/h3>\n<p>Before becoming a young music sensation, Matthew\u2019s life was not entirely sunshine and rainbows.<\/p>\n<p>As a teenager, he was not known for making the right choices.<\/p>\n<p>After dealing with the loss of his best friend, Matthew dropped out of high school, turned to drugs and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/city-homeless-documentary-breaks-societal-decay-blighting-los-angeles\/\">was homeless<\/a> as a 19-year-old before managing to lift himself up and pursue a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/country-music-star-calls-on-the-scared-music-industry-to-bring-back-god-in-songs\/\" title=\"Country music star urges music industry to reintroduce God in songs, addressing industry's fear.\">country music career<\/a>, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmt.com\/news\/xzze5a\/chase-matthew-beats-drug-problem-homelessness-to-become-rising-country-star\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CMT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew signed with Warner Music Nashville in 2022 and now averages over 1 million monthly listeners on <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/7HTLVyjNf0VRxfIgNcfRRH\">Spotify<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His first performance at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opry.com\/artists\/chase-matthew\">Grand Ole Opry<\/a> in Nashville was in March. He and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bring-back-god-in-our-songs-rising-country-music-singer-challenges-scared-music-industry\/\" title=\"Country singer challenges music industry to include God in songs.\">grandparents stood backstage praying moments<\/a> before the show started.<\/p>\n<p>Upon stepping into the venue\u2019s spotlight, Matthew told the audience that he hadn\u2019t felt as much anxiety since his high school talent show.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>Afterward, he said of his performance, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/erick-erickson-gods-plan-biden-presidency\/\">God\u2019s got a plan<\/a>, and it\u2019s showing. He is not giving up on us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you trust God\u2019s plan, he\u2019ll put you exactly where you need to be,\u201d Matthew said, according to CMT. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of people that didn\u2019t want to see me win. They didn\u2019t want to see me succeed. I hope that their dreams come true.
