It appears that the agency&#8217;s focus on political correctness may be overshadowing patient health.<\/p>\n<p>On the CDC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nutrition\/emergencies-infant-feeding\/health-equity.html\">website<\/a>, under &#8220;Health Equity Considerations,&#8221; the agency states, &#8220;Transgender and nonbinary-gendered individuals may give birth and breastfeed or feed at the chest (chestfeed).&#8221; The CDC also encourages medical professionals to use patients&#8217; preferred pronouns and emphasizes that an individual does not need to have given birth to breastfeed or chestfeed.<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/breastfeeding\/breastfeeding-special-circumstances\/maternal-or-infant-illnesses\/breast-surgery.html\">webpage<\/a> on breastfeeding guidance for those who have had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cdc-has-lost-all-credibility-lawmaker-says-as-agency-pushes-chestfeeding\/\" title=\"Lawmaker claims CDC lacks credibility due to promotion of 'chestfeeding'.\">breast surgery instructs healthcare providers<\/a> to be familiar with the medical, emotional, and social aspects of gender transitions.
