Drake was performing his version of the Ginuwine song \u201cSo Anxious\u201d on Wednesday night in Chicago when the incident occurred. He did not appear to be injured, the outlet noted.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Canadian-born <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/music\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">singer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> did not react to the flying object and kept on playing the show, which included a hologram of his younger self and a tribute to designer Virgil Abloh.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Trend of Fans Throwing Objects<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Even though Drake wasn\u2019t injured, the flying cell phone was part of a larger trend of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/drake-is-latest-artist-to-get-struck-by-flying-object-during-performance\/\" title=\"Drake hit by flying object during performance.\">fans throwing things<\/a> at performers onstage during concerts, which sometimes causes injuries. Bebe Rexha, Lil Nas X, and Kelsea Ballerini have all been hit by various objects, including a phone, a sex toy, and a bracelet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rexha had to be rushed off the stage when she was pelted in the face with a cell phone during a performance in June and wound up getting stitches on her face.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 33-year-old singer <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bebe-rexha-shares-photo-with-fans-after-being-hit-in-face-by-cell-phone-at-concert\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">posted two pictures<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to her Instagram showing her injury. In one photo, the singer\u2019s eye is purple and swollen with a cut just underneath her brow line.
