According to a statement from the U.S. Navy\u2019s Fifth Fleet on Thursday, the commercial ship was said to be allegedly smuggling 900 tons of fuel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman said they monitored the situation and have decided not to take action. <\/p>\n<p>This comes after the Navy had stopped Iran from seizing two commercial tankers in international waters earlier in the week.<\/p>\n<p>Pentagon spokesman Brig. General Pat Ryder made it known that the U.S. is keeping an eye on any new developments. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cU.S. Navy central Command announced that U.S. forces prevented two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/iran-seizes-commercial-ship-in-international-waters\/\" title=\"Iran captures ship in international waters.\">attempted commercial tanker seizures<\/a> by the Iranian Navy after Iranians opened fire against one of the tankers near the coast of Oman,\u201d he said. \u201cAdditional details regarding NAVS response are available on their website.
