He\u2019s been labeled a \u201cfringe candidate,\u201d an extremist, a hustler and a fame-chaser cashing in on his family name.<\/p>\n<p>And he\u2019s far more popular than the Democratic president he\u2019s running against \u2014 or any other politician in America, according to a new poll.<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/echelonin.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/June-2023-Omnibus-Topline-EXTERNAL-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Echelon Insights survey<\/a> conducted June 26-29 among 1,020 likely voters found that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had a 30-point advantage in net favorability over President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-trump-trounces-in-hypothetical-republican-primary-by-47-points\/\" title=\"Poll: Trump Trounces in Hypothetical Republican Primary by 47 Points\">survey asked respondents<\/a> about the favorability of 15 public figures and entities, both political and apolitical, by how favorably they were viewed.<\/p>\n<p>The two most popular figures were entertainers: actor Matthew McConaughey (50 percent net positive favorability) and musician <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/taylor-swift-concert-interrupted-begins-coughing-gagging-sorry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Taylor Swift<\/a> (27 percent net positive favorability).<\/p>\n<p>In third place, however, was Robert F. Kennedy Jr., with a net 22 percent favorability rating \u2014 46 percent favorable to 24 percent unfavorable.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the list \u2014 except for talk show host Andy Cohen, who came in fifth \u2014 were politicians running for president and political parties. Only three politicians were above water in terms of favorability \u2014 and perhaps most tellingly, only one has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-black-democrat-governor-of-virginia-blasts-democrat-candidate-terry-mcauliffe-over-racism-scandal\/\" title=\"Former Black Democrat Governor Of Virginia Blasts Democrat Candidate Terry McAuliffe Over Racism Scandal\">held elected office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth was GOP dark horse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/vivek-ramaswamy-lands-miami-support-trump-drops-fiery-ultimatum-2024-candidates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vivek Ramaswamy<\/a>, a former corporate CEO who is now the co-founder and executive chairman of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-handed-brutal-news-about-rfk-jr-that-he-wont-be-able-to-compete-with-on-campaign-trail\/\" title=\"Biden Receives Devastating RFK Jr. News for Campaign Trail.\">anti-woke asset management group<\/a> that tries to counteract the influence of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) scores in capital markets. He had a net favorable of 17 points.<\/p>\n<p>Cohen was next with a net favorable of 8 points.<\/p>\n<p>Then we got to the only declared candidate who had a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-poll-numbers-crash-in-iowa-with-62-disapproving-of-his-job-performance\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Poll Numbers Crash In Iowa, With 62% Disapproving Of His Job Performance\">net positive approval rating<\/a>: GOP Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, who had a net favorability of 5 points.<\/p>\n<p>Also tellingly, the bottom four positions were held by the president and vice presidents of the current and former administrations: Kamala Harris (negative 12 percent favorability), Joe Biden (negative 13 percent), Donald Trump (negative 16 percent) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mayonnaise-toast-mike-pence-campaign-kickoff-starts-weird-comparison-ex-vp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Pence<\/a> (negative 22 percent).<\/p>\n<p>The survey had a margin of error of 3.9 percent.<\/p>\n<p>These results aren\u2019t as much of a problem for current GOP frontrunner Trump, however, when you consider his main opponent \u2014 Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis \u2014 is 9 points in the red himself.<\/p>\n<p>For the Biden people, however, it might be time to pull the alarm cord, for two major reasons.<\/p>\n<h3>Reason 1: Americans Don&#8217;t Want a Trump-Biden Rematch<\/h3>\n<p>First, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysun.com\/article\/rfk-jr-taylor-swift-viewed-more-favorably-by-voters-than-trump-biden-and-desantis-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Sun<\/a> noted, other findings in the survey \u201creinforce an issue looming in the background of American politics since the last presidential election: that most Americans do not want a rematch between Messrs. Trump and Biden in 2024.\u201d And on paper, of course, Trump is the one with the more credible challengers.<\/p>\n<h3>Reason 2: Biden&#8217;s Looming Primary Problem<\/h3>\n<p>However, that brings us to reason No. 2: The octogenarian president has a looming primary problem entirely of his own making.<\/p>\n<p>Last December, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/05\/magazine\/democratic-national-committee-2024.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> reported, the Democratic Party approved a plan long-championed by the president: moving South Carolina to the top of the primary calendar.<\/p>\n<p>The reason given was that South Carolina\u2019s more ethnically diverse population reflected America more than majority-white Iowa and New Hampshire, traditionally the first two contests held in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>It also didn\u2019t hurt that during his two presidential runs where he made it to the primary-voting stage, Joe Biden had performed miserably in both Iowa and New Hampshire; having South Carolina vote first would discourage potential challengers such as California Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/anti-biden-backlash-gets-brutal-dems-polled-2024-ugly-answer-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavin Newsom<\/a> and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg from jumping into the race.<\/p>\n<p>The problem is that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-hampshire-prepared-publicly-embarrass-biden-hand-shocking-statewide-defeat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moving South Carolina<\/a> to the top of the primary calendar is easier said than done.<\/p>\n<p>New Hampshire has a law that stipulates its primary must be held seven days prior to any other state\u2019s, and Granite State lawmakers have shown no inclination to change it.<\/p>\n<p>Iowa lawmakers are also likely to keep their caucuses at an early date, given the complexity of the process and the fact local candidates are also selected at the same go.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has pledged that he\u2019ll contest neither state if it chooses to go first. But that could hand two easy wins to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/shocker-influential-billionaire-dem-donor-suddenly-supports-rfk-jr-s-vaccine-skepticism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RFK Jr.<\/a> \u2014 and, at the very least, make Biden vulnerable, particularly if those wins are by significant margins over Biden write-ins.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t just ask me, though: Ask the gambling markets, which tend to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bet-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">get things right more frequently<\/a> than political forecasters.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/elections\/betting-odds\/2024\/democratic-nomination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RealClearPolitics<\/a> aggregate of the betting odds, Biden\u2019s odds to clinch the nomination peaked on April 29 at 79.3 percent. They\u2019ve been on a slow decline ever since \u2014 to the point where, as of Thursday, they sat at only 60.8 percent. That\u2019s not stellar for a sitting president.<\/p>\n<p>Ironically, the real winner hasn\u2019t been Kennedy, whose aggregate odds sit at 8.1 percent. Instead, the gains have come from Gavin Newsom, who rose from 5.7 percent when Biden was at his peak in April to 14.4 percent now.<\/p>\n<p>The irony lies in that this is why RFK Jr.\u2019s dad jumped into the 1968 presidential race: In that year\u2019s New Hampshire primary, sitting President Lyndon Johnson was supposed to easily beat what was seen as token opposition to his run by anti-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/viet-cong-battle-cronkite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vietnam War<\/a> candidate Sen. Eugene McCarthy.<\/p>\n<p>However, LBJ only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2016\/03\/mccarthy-nearly-upsets-lbj-in-new-hampshire-primary-march-12-1968-220521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">narrowly escaped<\/a> losing to the Minnesota senator (at least by what forecasters had predicted would be a rout) by a margin of 48 percent to 42 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Realizing the sitting president was vulnerable, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy jumped into the race shortly thereafter \u2014 and by the end of the month, LBJ had announced he wouldn\u2019t be seeking or accepting the Democratic nomination.<\/p>\n<p>A disaster for Biden at the hands of RFK Jr. in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary could open the window for Newsom or Buttigieg the same way that McCarthy\u2019s near-upset opened the window for Kennedy\u2019s dad.<\/p>\n<p>Whether things will play out like that is too early to say \u2014 and with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tech-glitch-doesnt-stop-desantis-tallying-eye-popping-fundraising-haul-first-24-hours-blowing-past-trump-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">modern fundraising apparatuses<\/a> of presidential runs stretching the campaign cycle over a two-year period, jumping in after the New Hampshire primary isn\u2019t the option it used to be.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case, the president has a likability problem \u2014 and, despite the fact the establishment media have been desperate to paint him <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/disneys-news-outlet-admits-edited-rfk-interview-said-vaccine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as a nutjob<\/a> with crazed conjectures about vaccines and WiFi, RFK Jr. does not.<\/p>\n<p>That alone should be keeping the midnight oil burning at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-handed-brutal-news-rfk-jr-wont-able-compete-campaign-trail\/\">Biden Handed Brutal News About RFK Jr. That He Won&#8217;t Be Able to Compete with on Campaign Trail<\/a> appeared first on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\">The Western Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The media labels him a dangerous demagogue, peddling outrageous conspiracy theories.
