That&#8217;d be mean to make you work.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cruz applauded the Supreme Court&#8217;s recent decision to reject President Joe Biden&#8217;s plan to forgive student loans. The ruling, which came in a 6-3 vote, denied millions of Americans up to $20,000 in debt relief proposed by the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<h3>Universities and the Student Loan Issue<\/h3>\n<p>Highlighting the issue as a point of contention between Democrats and Republicans, Cruz stated, &#8220;There&#8217;s a second group, which is the constituencies, which is the universities, and the universities have become entrenched pits of Marxism.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Biden, undeterred by the Supreme Court ruling, launched another effort to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/america-isnt-responsible-for-my-student-loans-i-am\/\" title=\"America Isn\u2019t Responsible For My Student Loans. I Am\">forgive federal student loan debt<\/a> using authority from the Higher Education Act of 1965. This act allows the Education Department to &#8220;compromise, waive or release loans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to a Nerdwallet analysis, approximately 1 in 5 Americans have student loans. Most borrowers fall within the 25 to 34 age range, with an average debt of $33,570 for federal borrowers in this group.<\/p>\n<h3>The Impact of Biden&#8217;s Plan<\/h3>\n<p>Cruz argued that the Biden administration&#8217;s student loan plan aims to attract young voters to the Democratic party. He also highlighted the negative consequences the plan would have on various groups, including those without college degrees, truck drivers, steel workers, and union members. Cruz claimed that the proposed plan would force American families to pay off college degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to his own experience, Cruz mentioned that it took him &#8220;almost two decades&#8221; to pay off his student loans.
