In an interview with police, Fuentes, a Guatemalan citizen, confessed to raping the youngster, according to paperwork submitted to Franklin County Municipal Court.<\/p>\n<p>The girl was nine-years-old at the time of the rape, according to the prosecution, with Fuentes being the child\u2019s mother\u2019s live-in lover. After testing positive on a pregnancy test, the girl confirmed that Fuentes had attacked and further DNA testing of the aborted fetus confirming that Fuentes was the father.<\/p>\n<p>After Roe v. Wade was rejected by the Supreme Court, Ohio enacted a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ken-paxton-to-newsmax-texas-sets-example-for-pro-life-movement\/\" title=\"Ken Paxton to Newsmax: Texas Sets Example for Pro-Life Movement\">law prohibiting abortions<\/a> at the first audible \u201cfetal heartbeat,\u201d which prevented the girl from having the procedure.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A child abuse doctor in Ohio called the girl\u2019s doctor, Dr. Caitlin Bernard, to make arrangements for the treatment in Indiana, she told an Indianapolis Star reporter. For discussing the surgery and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ohio-man-receives-life-sentence-for-rape-of-10-year-old-girl-who-traveled-to-indiana-for-abortion\/\" title=\"Ohio man gets life sentence for raping 10-year-old girl who traveled to Indiana for abortion.\">breaking medical privacy rules<\/a>, Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit against the physician.<\/p>\n<p>As part of Fuentes\u2019 plea agreement, he can apply for parole after spending 25 to 30 years and will have to register as a Tier 3 sex offender.<\/p>\n<p>The relatives of the victim had \u201cbegged\u201d Common Pleas Court Judge Julie Lynch, who was not compelled to approve the plea arrangement, to support it. \u201cFor this court to swallow,\u201d said Lynch of the agreement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cAnyone who\u2019s ever been in this courtroom for the last 20 years knows how this court feels about these babies, young people, being violated,\u201d Lynch said. \u201cHowever, today, by the request of the family, this court will be sentencing without comment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Fuentes has been detained without bond since his arrest.
