They are here, they are queer, and they are coming for your children \u2014 legally.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple bills at various stages in the California legislative process proclaim who ultimately has authority of your kids, and it\u2019s not you. Some have understandably garnered much media attention, but SB 407 is working its way through the Assembly without much fanfare or discussion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/CA\/text\/SB407\/id\/2750569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>SB 407<\/b><\/a> would require all potential foster families to demonstrate their capacity and willingness to facilitate pharmaceutical and surgical interventions for \u201cgender-expansive\u201d children. Even if the child seems to give no indication of such inclinations at the time, the resource family must be assessed with the understanding that need for such care could arise at any stage of development.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Scott Weiner (D-San Francisco) in introducing the bill, <a href=\"https:\/\/sd11.senate.ca.gov\/news\/20230417-senator-wiener%E2%80%99s-bill-protect-lgbtq-foster-youth-passes-senate-human-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> it would protect children from being placed in \u201chostile foster homes.\u201d Hostile homes are the homes of any foster families who are unwilling to commit to actively supporting gender transition interventions for minors. SB 407 effectively institutionalizes a prohibition against orthodox Christians as well as other religious believers.<\/p>\n<p>It also effectively prohibits secular foster parents who think it unwise to allow the mutilation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/im-taking-the-drug-that-activists-want-to-give-to-children-with-gender-dysphoria\/\" title=\"I\u2019m Taking The Drug That Activists Want To Give To Children With Gender Dysphoria\">perfectly healthy body parts<\/a> on minors. Religious revelation is not required to recognize the reality at hand. Minors in the foster system are, by definition, in crisis. Times of crisis are inopportune times to make permanent, grave decisions especially when the decision-maker has not yet developed his full-frontal cortex. According to SB407, this entirely reasonable perspective should be redefined as a hostile one.<\/p>\n<p>Current and historic data give us insight into the demographics of those most prone to foster non-related babies and minors. Barna Group\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cafo.org\/2014\/02\/12\/new-barna-research-highlights-christian-adoption-foster-care-among-3-most-notable-vocational-trends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">research<\/a> shows that Christians engage in adoption, foster care, and other ways of aiding vulnerable children more than the average. \u201cPracticing Christians (5%) are more than twice as likely to adopt than the general population (2%). Catholics are three times as likely. And evangelicals are five times as likely to adopt as the average adult.\u201d Practicing Christians are also nearly three times more likely to have seriously considered foster care, and <a href=\"https:\/\/cafo.org\/2018\/06\/23\/heritage-foundation-forum-how-faith-foster-care-and-adoption-go-together\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">65%<\/a> of non<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-bills-keep-pride-marching-long-past-june\/\" title=\"California's bills ensure Pride marches continue beyond June.\">-kin foster parents attend religious services weekly \u2014 compared<\/a> to 39% for the general population.<\/p>\n<p>This is unsurprising given the Christian mandate to care for the widow and the orphan. My experience with friends who foster supports the data; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cormac-mccarthy-leaves-his-last-will-and-testament-in-two-novels\/\" title=\"Cormac McCarthy's final will is contained in two novels.\">devoutly religious people<\/a> who foster largely do so out of a sense of calling and compassion, animated by a heroic willingness to act. I spoke with a mother of seven, and sometime foster mom, Amina Bancroft, who commented \u201cThe primary role of a foster family is to provide a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/charles-lipson-how-to-stop-politicians-from-taking-classified-documents\/\" title=\"Charles Lipson: How to Stop Politicians From Taking Classified Documents\">temporary safe place<\/a> for a child whose previous environment was unfit, dangerous, and consequently at-risk for a poor outcome.\u201d This bill inevitably affects her possibilities at fostering again. \u201cIn what should be interim care, ideally focused on love and nurturing, we are now up against a state focused on forcing decisions that would cause irreversible damage to youth who are already up against so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In any just world such families willing to stretch themselves to help kids would be sought after, not precluded from the foster system. However, the only families fit to foster, according to the supporters of this bill, are those who give full assent to the most radical tenets of gender theory. What is obvious to most everyone (except the bill\u2019s authors) is that such ideological assent signals a willingness to reject sexual boundaries. It is that rejection that makes sexual chaos far more likely in the home, not less. Is that the goal? If minors can consent to invasive transitioning interventions, what can they not consent to?<\/p>\n<p>There is also the reality that SB407 is hardly the only bill in California attacking parental rights.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fastdemocracy.com\/bill-search\/ca\/20212022\/bills\/CAB00021206\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>SB 107<\/b><\/a>, passed and was signed into law in September of last year, allowing minors to be brought to the Golden State against the will of a parent if it is for the sake of seeking gender transitioning.<\/p>\n<p>In-state parents are not really calling any shots either, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/CA\/text\/AB957\/id\/2823779\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>AB 957<\/b><\/a> which puts parental custody in jeopardy absent the guardian\u2019s support of their child\u2019s \u201cgender identity.\u201d Absent full support, which is not defined in the bill, a parent can be charged by a court with child abuse. The age at which the child\u2019s desires to begin transitioning must be accommodated is not mentioned, but the bill\u2019s author, Assemblywoman Lori Wilson (D-Suisun City) used an example of a seven-year old in <a href=\"https:\/\/californiaglobe.com\/articles\/under-new-california-bill-parents-would-be-charged-with-child-abuse-for-not-affirming-transgenderism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arguing<\/a> the merits of this bill.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Whose Kids Anyway?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>At a recent speaking event I attended for the <a href=\"http:\/\/awakeamericans.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Awake Americans<\/a> launch, some protestors carried a sign that read, \u201cWe don\u2019t co-parent with hate groups.\u201d Bemused, a few of us commented that obviously we don\u2019t want them to co-parent with us either, so\u2026no problem. But their meaning was more sinister. It was not that they would not co-parent our kids with us, it was that we are unfit to co-parent our own kids with them. They see our kids as theirs to parent and ours to lose.<\/p>\n<p>Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/parents-agree-biden-alarms-assertion-no-thing-someone-elses-child\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> as much out loud recently, \u201cThere\u2019s no such things as someone else\u2019s child. Our nation\u2019s children are all our children.\u201d <i>There\u2019s no such thing as someone else\u2019s child<\/i>. In no situation do normal people act as though that were true. I do not decide when to speak to other people\u2019s children about sex, nor take them home with me at will. I don\u2019t even know their food allergies much less <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-nfl-referee-current-cbs-rules-analyst-gene-steratore-discusses-chiefs-extra-3rd-down-and-the-no-calls-for-holding-during-afc-championship-game\/\" title=\"Former NFL Referee &#038; Current CBS Rules Analyst Gene Steratore Discusses Chiefs Extra 3rd Down and the No Calls for Holding During AFC Championship Game\">make pivotal decisions<\/a> for them. Someone could dismiss Biden\u2019s words as an empty platitude or incoherent ramblings except that they reflect a real <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/archive\/want-to-dismantle-capitalism-abolish-the-family\/#:~:text=Arguably%20the%20most%20infamous,men%20who%20lorded%20over%20them.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perspective<\/a> that is incrementally creeping into policy.<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7NXNKnT28Kc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video<\/a> widely circulated recently of Pride marchers in New York City chanting, \u201cWe\u2019re here, we\u2019re queer, we\u2019re coming for your children.\u201d Amidst the fallout, NBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/nbc-out\/nbc-out-proud\/re-coming-children-chant-nyc-drag-march-elicits-outrage-activists-say-rcna91341\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rushed<\/a> to reassure their audience that activists have been chanting as much for years and that it is one of many provocative expressions used to \u201cregain control of slurs against LGBTQ people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, it\u2019s not that we\u2019re not coming for your children; we\u2019re just making fun of how you <i>think<\/i> we are coming for them.<\/p>\n<p>This is a classic example of what Michael Anton <a href=\"https:\/\/americanmind.org\/salvo\/thats-not-happening-and-its-good-that-it-is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coined<\/a> the \u201ccelebration parallax. \u201cIt\u2019s not happening and it\u2019s good that it is.\u201d A thing is happening or not happening based on whether the person acknowledging it is an ally or not. In other words: listen, paranoid parents, we are not coming after your children! But hey allies, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orangeobserver.com\/news\/2021\/oct\/27\/watch-speaker-removed-from-orange-county-school-board-meeting-for-reading-from-a-book-found-at-school-library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeyMannarinoUS\/status\/1673091985018609666?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/outlook\/2021\/06\/29\/pride-month-kink-consent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are<\/a> doing just that. Genital surgery on minors is a far-right conspiracy! But obviously, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theamericanconservative.com\/its-not-happening-and-its-good-that-it-is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we are doing<\/a> them and isn\u2019t it brave?<\/p>\n<p>Targeting children furthers the cultural revolution in two ways: it undermines the authority of parents in favor of the state, and it creates a generation of wounded and enraged foot soldiers who will support progressive power and the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n<p>What happens in California won\u2019t stay in California.
