The South, once overshadowed by its northern counterparts, rose to prominence as the leader in contributing to the national GDP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/features\/2023-06-29\/millions-move-to-the-south-as-us-economy-favors-its-wealth-job-opportunities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>, states like Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas have surpassed the economic prowess of cities like Boston, New York City, and Washington D.C. The Southeast region experienced a population growth of 2.2 million people in just two years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cYou feel very wanted, right?\u2019\u2019 Chief Financial Officer Bryan Hipsher of the famed financial information firm Dun &#038; Bradstreet, which moved from New Jersey to Jacksonville, Florida, said. \u201cYou feel very welcomed, clearly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Economist Mark Vitner captures the essence of this transformation, stating, \u201cYou could throw a dart anywhere at a map of the South and hit somewhere booming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">JPMorgan Chase &#038; Co. CEO Jamie Dimon expressed his surprise at the shift, saying, \u201cWe now have more employees in Texas than New York state. It shouldn\u2019t have been that way,\u201d in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-03-06\/jpmorgan-is-expanding-in-florida-texas-dimon-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The statistics are staggering: the Southeast gained approximately $100 billion in new income in 2020 and 2021, while the Northeast suffered a loss of around $60 billion, as revealed by an analysis of recently published Internal Revenue Service data. Since the onset of the pandemic in early 2020, two-thirds of all job growth has occurred in the Southeast, which is now home to 9 of the 15 fastest-growing American large cities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Jacksonville branch of the Mayo Clinic alone added 2,400 employees last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwc.com\/gx\/en\/industries\/financial-services\/real-estate\/emerging-trends-real-estate\/emerging-trends-real-estate-global-outlook-2023.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pricewaterhouse Coopers<\/a>, the top seven American cities for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mcauliffe-fundraises-with-real-estate-exec-who-pushed-controversial-visa-program-to-attract-chinese-investment\/\" title=\"McAuliffe Fundraises With Real Estate Exec Who Pushed Controversial Visa Program To Attract Chinese Investment\">real estate investing<\/a> are Nashville, Dallas\/Fort Worth (the nation\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2023\/subcounty-metro-micro-estimates.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fastest-growing big city<\/a>), Atlanta, Austin, Tampa\/St. Petersburg, Raleigh\/Durham, and Miami. In fact, the U.S. Census Bureau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2023\/subcounty-metro-micro-estimates.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that nine of the nation\u2019s 15 fastest-growing cities in 2022 were located in the South.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2022, while the Northeast and Midwest experienced population decline, the West only managed to add 153,000 people. Fast Company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90842845\/us-population-center-south-shift-decade-ca-fl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that the West would have lost population if not for immigrants and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/californias-population-shrinks-for-the-first-time-ever-in-2020\/\" title=\"California\u2019s Population Shrinks For The First Time Ever In 2020\">births outpacing deaths<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Over the past 50 years, the Southeast has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-the-south-northeast-u-s-no-longer-leader-contributing-to-nations-gdp\/\" title=\"Northeast U.S. no longer leads in contributing to nation's GDP in the South.\">gained significant political influence<\/a>.
