The deal, which lists an obligated funding amount of $3,266,707, began in September 2021 and ends on August 31, 2023. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The nearly $3.3 million plan aims to create a \u201cTrans Health Guide\u201d intended to \u201cexpand the local workforce of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/god-loves-me-10-year-old-trans-child-quotes-bible-to-tell-tx-legislators-why-they-shouldnt-ban-trans-surgeries-procedures-for-minors\/\" title=\"\u2018God Loves Me\u2019: 10-Year-Old Trans Child Quotes Bible To Tell TX Legislators Why They Shouldn\u2019t Ban Trans Surgeries, Procedures For Minors\">gender-affirming care<\/a> providers\u201d and \u201cadvance equity and reduce mental health disparities for TGD youth through \u2026 systemic changes that increase access to gender-affirming care.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">People between the ages of 13 and 24 are considered transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAs a senator and a physician, I am deeply concerned about the NIH\u2019s use of taxpayer money to fund dangerous and controversial youth transgender research,\u201d Sen. Paul told The Daily Wire. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe well-being of our youth is of utmost importance and subjecting them to harmful and experimental medical procedures is unacceptable.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The grant description claims that \u201caccess to gender-affirming care and family support are known to be critical determinants of mental health outcomes for TGD youth.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The project focuses on \u201cfive southeastern states with large black transgender populations and limited access to gender-affirming care.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additionally, the program includes a \u201cfree online training course for continuing education credit,\u201d as well as a platform to hold \u201cconsultations with specialists.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sen. Rubio joined Paul in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">condemning the grant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe NIH should not use U.S. taxpayer dollars to encourage or promote transgenderism in children, especially when that means subjecting kids to damaging and irreversible surgeries and hormones,\u201d Rubio told The Daily Wire. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe U.S. government should not overlook or diminish the biological reality that underpins human existence.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPromoting transgenderism among children raises significant concerns about their physical, social, and psychological well-being. We must protect the innocence and future of our children.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Trans Health Guide <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transhealthguide.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> goes into greater depth, explaining that healthcare providers \u201cwill be able to access free training materials on working with transgender and other gender-diverse youth\u201d and \u201cgender-affirming medical and mental health care.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The guide is designed to provide \u201can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republican-senators-blast-nih-for-3-million-grant-to-expand-medical-transitions-for-minors\/\" title=\"GOP Senators Slam NIH for M Grant to Boost Minors' Medical Transitions\">interactive educational digital platform<\/a> for TGD youth and caregivers.\u201d The site describes the project as a \u201cmulti-level intervention to improve the health of transgender and gender-diverse youth, focusing on TGD youth of color.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cOur government should not be furthering the fallacy that chemically transitioning children is safe and effective,\u201d said Sen. Tedd Budd (R-NC). <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cTaxpayer dollars should not be used to encourage gender transition interventions on young people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The NIH recently came under scrutiny after it was revealed that two individuals involved in its study on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPsychosocial Functioning in Transgender Youth after 2 Years of Hormones\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">committed suicide. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Five Republican Senators, including Paul, Rubio, and Budd, along with ten GOP congressmembers, sent a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/republicans-demand-answers-nih-director-2-involved-transgender-youth-study-died-suicide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">letter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to the Acting Director of the NIH, Dr. Lawrence Tobak, blasting the study. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cRather than shutting the study down after such serious adverse events, the researchers published their paper, concluding that the study was a success because cross-sex hormones had altered subjects\u2019 physical appearance and improved psychosocial functioning,\u201d the letter said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Boston Children\u2019s Hospital, which has received heavy criticism over its medical transitioning of youth, was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/republicans-demand-answers-nih-director-2-involved-transgender-youth-study-died-suicide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">named<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as one of the participants in the study. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">January Littlejohn, a Senior Fellow Patient Advocate for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/u\/1\/#inbox\/FFNDWNXsBcZdmqZzMVxZLhMWFjSsLNNq\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Do No Harm<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, blasted the NIH\u2019s support of child transgenderism as an \u201coutrageous use of taxpayer money,\u201d going on to criticize the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-acting-nih-director-refuses-to-condemn-chemically-castrating-kids-despite-irreversible-damage\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Acting NIH Director Refuses To Condemn Chemically Castrating Kids Despite Irreversible Damage\">medical research agency<\/a> for pushing \u201cirreversible, harmful treatment interventions on vulnerable and confused children.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBoston Children\u2019s Hospital lost all credibility when they released videos of their doctors stating children \u2018<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-11280475\/Harvard-hospital-claims-babies-know-WOMB-transgender.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">seemingly know from the womb<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2019 they are transgender and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrenshospital.org\/sites\/default\/files\/media_migration\/f0f27297-03a5-4650-b31c-c22b46bcffa6.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">admitted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to performing irreversible gender surgeries on minors,\u201d she added. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lgbtqiahealtheducation.org\/us\/faculty-advisory-board\/jeremi-carswell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jeremi Carswell<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a pediatric endocrinologist and the director of the Gender Multispeciality Clinic at Boston Children\u2019s Hospital, has admitted on camera that puberty blockers are given out \u201clike candy\u201d and acknowledged they can cause fertility problems.
