And just ahead of the Independence Day weekend, Bud Light introduced a short commercial featuring Kelce, some dad types, and grunting.<\/p>\n<p>The 15-second <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nfl-star-roasted-after-appearing-in-new-bud-light-commercial-looks-desperate-for-money\/\" title=\"NFL star faces backlash for appearing in new Bud Light commercial, accused of being money-hungry.\">ad shows middle-aged men grunting<\/a> and sighing as they sit down in lawn chairs to enjoy a can of Bud Light and ends with Kelce smiling into the camera and nodding his head yes.<\/p>\n<p>The ad, titled, \u201cBackyard Grunts,\u201d was released to Youtube on Sunday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I support Kelce as a KC receiver for Mahomes but he looks desperate for money to stoop to do commercials for Bud light.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 rodney durrett (@DurrettRodney) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DurrettRodney\/status\/1675695730332258304?\">July 3, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bud light is now down 28% and continuing to back slide. It all led to Bud Light executives lamenting the \u201cdivisive debates\u201d in the U.S. that was ignoring the fact that Bud Light is only about \u201cbringing people together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s tough to see the controversial and divisive debates that have been happening in the U.S. in the last couple of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/anheuser-busch-chief-marketing-officer-says-bud-light-is-coming-back-reveals-next-plans\/\" title=\"Anheuser-Busch CMO announces Bud Light's return and unveils future plans.\">weeks involving lots<\/a> of brands and companies, including and especially Bud Light,\u201d global chief marketing officer of AB Inbev, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/anheuser-busch-chief-marketing-officer-says-bud-light-coming-back-reveals-next-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marcel Marcondes<\/a>, told the trade publication <a href=\"https:\/\/adage.com\/article\/marketing-news-strategy\/bud-lights-struggles-have-been-wake-call-says-ab-inbev-cmo-cannes\/2500486\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AdAge<\/a> at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity late last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s tough exactly because what we do is all about bringing people together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s deal with Mulvaney, which was posted with the message \u201cCheers to 365 Days of Girlhood,\u201d caused a backlash that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/official-bud-light-loses-top-selling-beer-status-us-brand-now-king\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">resulted<\/a> in the brand losing $27 billion in market value, according to the New York Post.<\/p>\n<p>The massive and spontaneous boycott soon enough led to beer brand Modelo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bud-light-gets-worst-news-competitor-threatens-overtake-woke-company-charts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">toppling<\/a> Bud Light from its No. 1 position in sales.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, Bud Light is like the plague. No one wants it and everyone wants to avoid it.
