The Biden Administration&#8217;s Confusing Stance on Chinese Spy Balloon<\/h2>\n<p>A lot of people have been asking whether the Biden Administration is full of idiots or if they have a hidden agenda. There\u2019s no way to tell for sure, but it\u2019s probably a mixture of both.<\/p>\n<p>Take the Chinese spy balloon debacle for example. When first spotted back in February, the Pentagon was pretty sure it was collecting sensitive information as it drifted unheeded over the country. That makes sense. That\u2019s what spy balloons do.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the Pentagon claims the balloon was not collecting information \u2014 as if anyone is going to believe that.<\/p>\n<p>People no longer know what to believe \u2014 if they ever did \u2014 when it comes to the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>Pentagon press secretary Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder held a media briefing on Thursday. When asked about the Chinese spy balloon, Ryder told reporters the Chinese spy balloon was not collecting information.<\/p>\n<p>Wait a minute \u2014 the U.S. tracked the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congress-readies-bipartisan-resolution-condemning-china-for-surveillance-balloon\/\" title=\"Congress Readies Bipartisan Resolution Condemning China for Surveillance Balloon\">suspected surveillance balloon<\/a> for days back in February, but the Pentagon opted not to shoot it down because the debris might hurt people on the ground, according to the Associated Press. At the time, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senior-defense-official-russia-intends-to-decapitate-ukrainian-government\/\" title=\"Senior Defense Official: Russia Intends to Decapitate Ukrainian Government\">senior defense official told reporters<\/a> they had \u201cvery high confidence\u201d the balloon was collecting sensitive information from particular sites.<\/p>\n<p>NBC News reported in April that the Chinese spy balloon <em>had<\/em> gathered intelligence from U.S. military sites and U.S. efforts to block it from doing so were not successful. The report, citing two current senior U.S. official and one former official, claimed the Biden administration\u2019s efforts to keep the balloon from compromising U.S. sites had at least partially failed.<\/p>\n<p>At Thursday\u2019s briefing, a reporter asked Ryder, \u201cCan you respond to reports that suggest that onboard the Chinese spy balloon, were found off-the-shelf American equipment? Was there any sensitive American equipment onboard? How do you think that American equipment was obtained? Were there any laws broken? And what was it capable of doing? What can you tell us?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ryder responded with, \u201cI don\u2019t have any specifics to provide as it pertains to the PRC high altitude balloon and any potential U.S. components. That said, I will say that, you know, we are aware, in previous cases, for example, things like drones and \u2014 and other capabilities, what have you, where off-the-shelf, commercial U.S. components have been used in capabilities. So that, in and of itself, is not surprising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ryder continued, \u201cIn terms of \u2026 the balloon and\u00a0 \u2026 the capabilities that it has, as you heard at the time, we were aware that it had intelligence collection capabilities, but it \u2026 has been our assessment now that it did not collect while it was transiting the United States or over-flying the United States. And as we said at the time, we also took steps \u2014 steps to mitigate the potential collection efforts of that balloon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reporter followed Ryder\u2019s garbled response with another question, \u201cSo you believe your efforts stopped it from collecting and transmitting or was it able to collect but just not able to transmit?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ryder responded, \u201cWe believe that it did not collect while it was transiting the United States or flying over the United States, and certainly the efforts that we made contributed, I\u2019m sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t sound to me like Ryder \u2014 or the Biden Administration \u2014 is sure about anything. That doesn\u2019t inspire a lot of public confidence in the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>In February, a Fox News report quoted a \u201csenior administration official\u201d as saying that other Chinese spy balloons had entered the U.S. while President Donald Trump was in office, but \u201cthey went undetected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Huh? How do they know it happened if the so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/official-narrative-on-chinese-surveillance-balloon-changed-again-this-time-the-pentagons-claim-is-even-more-questionable\/\" title=\"New Pentagon claim on Chinese surveillance balloon raises further doubts.\">-called spy balloons<\/a> went undetected? How can you detect something later that wasn\u2019t detected at the time? I\u2019m confused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo things can be true at once: this happened and it wasn\u2019t detected,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n<p>Doesn\u2019t that violate Aristotle\u2019s law of non-contradiction where two contrary claims can\u2019t be true at once? It\u2019s like saying the balloons existed but they didn\u2019t. Of course, Democrats are fond of acting like they are above the law, even when it comes to the law of logic.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration had to back off the \u201cSpy Balloons Under Trump Narrative,\u201d primarily because it couldn\u2019t stand up to reason. The former Acting Director of National Intelligence under Trump tweeted that Biden\u2019s Department of Defense was lying.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Biden\u2019s DoD is shamelessly using an anonymous source to say that Chinese balloons flew over the US under Trump \u2013 and the Trump team allowed it.<\/p>\n<p>It is a lie. We never heard this \u2013 ever.<\/p>\n<p>Congress should demand @SecDef tell the truth. I\u2019ve heard of lying by omission, but is there lying by confusion?<\/p>\n<p>Somebody knows whether the Chinese spy balloon collected and transmitted sensitive U.S. military information on its leisurely drift over the continental U.S. but they aren\u2019t telling. What else is the Biden administration confused about?
