For its persistent effort to target children, the transgender movement is losing ground\u2014on several fronts.<\/p>\n<p>It began with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/toronto-public-library-eliminates-late-fees-to-combat-racial-inequity\/\" title=\"Toronto Public Library Eliminates Late Fees To Combat Racial Inequity\">drag queen story hour<\/a>. It evolved into \u201cfamily-friendly\u201d drag shows. Now we have naked men peddling bikes in front of children at Seattle pride parades while LGBT activists in New York City dance naked in public fountains and march through the streets boldly admitting: \u201cWe\u2019re here. We\u2019re queer. We\u2019re coming for your children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, a growing number of polls and studies are confirming that the transgender movement is rapidly losing ground. The mounting pushback and results of boycotts show it\u2019s happening fast.<\/p>\n<h2>The Pushback<\/h2>\n<p>While the general public seemed to tolerate and even participate in LGBTQ+ causes and events, there is a growing effort to get rid of them.<\/p>\n<p>Nineteen states have passed legislation restricting access to gender-affirming care for children and teenagers.<\/p>\n<p>In a show of support for a Florida mother who\u2019s fighting to protect children from transgender indoctrination in schools, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/in-depth-21-ags-and-37-parental-rights-groups-join-moms-fight-against-trans-indoctrination-in-schools_5309191.html\">21 states and 37 parent rights organizations<\/a> have joined forces.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the growing number of hockey players who refused to wear pride jerseys, the National Hockey League\u2019s Board of Governors has decided to stop participating in such events.<\/p>\n<p>Due to increasing backlash, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/flashback-houston-library-hosted-predator-who-sexually-assaulted-8-year-old-boy-for-drag-queen-story-hour\/\" title=\"FLASHBACK: Houston Library Hosted Predator Who Sexually Assaulted 8-Year-Old Boy for \u2018Drag Queen Story Hour\u2019\">drag queen story hour events<\/a> are being canceled from Florida to New York and West Hollywood to North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Drag shows have been canceled in places like Texas, Indiana, Georgia, and across Florida. The US Defense Secretary has issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/daily-news\/2023\/06\/01\/defense-secretary-orders-no-drag-shows-military-bases-after-political-furor.html\">department-wide prohibition<\/a> of drag shows on military bases.<\/p>\n<p>Paramount canceled its Queen of the Universe TV series.<\/p>\n<h2>The Boycotts<\/h2>\n<p>In response to companies that choose to promote transgender ideology, boycotts are inflicting major financial damage on powerhouse corporations.<\/p>\n<p>The decision by Bud Light\u2019s former Vice President Alissa Heinerscheid to use Dylan Mulvaney as a means to update the company\u2019s \u201cfratty\u201d culture chopped 23 percent of its stock value. Analysts say the damage is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/dereksaul\/2023\/06\/06\/anheuser-busch-faces-permanent-15-decline-in-bud-light-sales-but-now-may-be-attractive-time-to-buy-stock\/?sh=58676aae197c\">permanent<\/a>.\u201d Target\u2019s choice to partner with a transgender satanist to design a pride collection for children cost the company a fifth of its value in just two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>After introducing LGBT onesies for infants during pride month, Kohl\u2019s stock fell 5 percent. For their decision to involve themselves in the pride parade, Starbucks, Walmart, and Levi Strauss are now feeling the heat. Let\u2019s not forget how Gillette\u2019s war on \u201ctoxic masculinity\u201d cost Proctor &#038; Gamble $8 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Activists who are pushing transgender treatments for children, even chemical castration and the amputation of healthy body parts, frequently cite the endorsements by proponents such as the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. They insist that when it comes to the lifesaving nature of gender-affirming care, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/news\/lgbtq-rights\/doctors-agree-gender-affirming-care-is-life-saving-care\">doctors agree<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleParagraph_root__wy3UI\">But, in Europe, doctors do not agree.<\/p>\n<h2>The Studies<\/h2>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/36120756\/\">noted by the National Institute of Health<\/a> (NIH) on Sept. 19, 2022, \u201cIt has been a quarter of a century since Dutch clinicians proposed puberty suppression as an intervention for \u2018juvenile transsexuals,\u2019 which became the international standard for treating gender dysphoria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch protocol was first proposed in the mid-1990s. After being given medical and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/missouri-to-restrict-gender-transition-care-of-adults-and-minors-1st-in-us\/\" title=\"Missouri to Restrict Gender-Transition Care of Adults and Minors; 1st in US\">mental-health assessments<\/a>, children on the Dutch protocol are started off with puberty blockers. When they\u2019re older, they\u2019re given cross-sex hormones. Ultimately, they are transitioned through surgery.<\/p>\n<p>While surgeries were initially not performed before the age of 18, the recommended minimum ages got younger over time and were removed altogether in the latest iteration of the WPATH <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/community-family\/the-wild-west-of-childhood-gender-transition\">guidelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, scientists and public-health officials in Finland, Sweden, France, Norway, and the U.K. are now warning that the lauded Dutch-protocol-based approach actually lacks sufficient evidence of validity and that these irreversible interventions may do more harm than good.<\/p>\n<p>While the intervention \u201cwas justified by claims that it was reversible and that it was a tool for diagnosis,\u201d the NIH determined that \u201cthese claims are increasingly implausible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/380\/bmj.p382\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">investigative report<\/a> in the prestigious British Medical Journal concluded that although pediatric gender medicine in the U.S. is \u201cconsensus-based,\u201d it is not \u201cevidence-based.\u201d Gordon Guyatt, distinguished professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact at McMaster University, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GuyattGH\/status\/1641183448063967233\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recently called<\/a> American guidelines for managing youth gender dysphoria \u201cuntrustworthy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2227-9032\/11\/1\/89\">study out of the Netherlands<\/a>, released in January, shows that \u201cinternalized transphobia\u201d induced mental health issues in transgender patients leading to dissatisfaction with their new bodies after sex-change procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Now the results of <a href=\"https:\/\/gpsych.bmj.com\/content\/36\/3\/e100972\">a study<\/a> published June 26 confirm what opponents of the exploding trans movement have been saying all along. It\u2019s a \u201ctrend,\u201d especially among young females.<\/p>\n<h2>The Surveys<\/h2>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/u7061146.ct.sendgrid.net\/ls\/click?upn=4tNED-2FM8iDZJQyQ53jATUTv86kS5TqOYyioWfN-2FVee-2F-2FN-2FLdCVhLgC0EAsD2X4i2FqbvmGFZZd-2B8S2VZfzcpQ49wM-2FgRHvCY6MDbAHZo8aijHNNDApRnAuutD5rYKye4LYAKWk-2F7NeyyPq7hu3QcSg-3D-3DnFOy_-2F2Ce3NhTMiWIwvgWzERJRA9PJjpl6kZYLCi-2B1vnNeXiUPzaRtqqFWXzcls3oeGQQtQ3XUsU0vltTZhWf0hMYwrD6LIOnMobTpaJjLH2BASZMGIsw0x5Dke0JBOT-2BFYQ-2FbR4lLTWgl09FxTN73PrbDTZhdEqt3tX11s7NyrA2TuZcnORH0WS5wcHJq0U-2FzV56xFs5HEdd6m5wr1DL-2FjRx9rRKD0qY04w2ft-2BAGeRuVRyp0I-2FguHqY37ex7oKy5jEI8LGlFhaWKJOyX5JlcTh-2Bv48DoLlx0wCPEsOaNzzwTO8105NSP5aq2c6Jc2qx9-2BuX7Ky-2FtuvdLhzjuL9U623IDvGAwfxKqL11iF3Kr9hLe74-3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recent survey<\/a> conducted by Summit.org, in partnership with McLaughlin and Associates, shows that 61 percent of likely voters believe that \u201cintroducing young children to ideas like transgenderism, drag shows, and LGBT themes hurts their emotional and psychological development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A June 2023 nationwide issues survey (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrafalgargroup.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/COSA-PoliticsBusiness-Full-Report-0613.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>), conducted by Trafalgar Group in partnership with Convention of States, shows that 40.8 percent of respondents said they have \u201cboycotted a company for taking progressive or woke stances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Only 24.5 percent said the same for companies taking a \u201cconservative or MAGA\u201d public stance.<\/p>\n<p>Ground is even being lost in the public\u2019s acceptance of gay marriage.<\/p>\n<p>In June of 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/350486\/record-high-support-same-sex-marriage.aspx\">Gallup reported<\/a> that a record number of Americans supported same-sex marriage, 70 percent.<\/p>\n<p>On June 16, 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/507230\/fewer-say-sex-relations-morally-acceptable.aspx\">Gallup revealed<\/a> that the biggest decline in Americans\u2019 opinions on moral issues is related to gay and lesbian relationships. While 71 percent of Americans found gay or lesbian relationships to be morally acceptable in 2022, only 64 percent felt the same way in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>A poll (<a href=\"https:\/\/s.wsj.net\/public\/resources\/documents\/WSJ_NORC_ToplineMarc_2023.pdf\">pdf<\/a>) conducted by NORC and The Wall Street Journal shows a majority of Americans, 56 percent, do not want transgender athletes participating in sporting events inconsistent with their biological sex.<\/p>\n<p>The results of a study (<a href=\"https:\/\/williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/Trans-Pop-Update-Jun-2022.pdf\">pdf<\/a>) released in June 2022 show that the psychological mismatch between biological sex and gender, known as \u201cgender dysphoria,\u201d is increasingly affecting younger people.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, they found that the estimated number of those with gender dysphoria rose sharply between 2017 and 2021, with a \u201csignificantly\u201d faster surge among young females, starting around the age of 11 and hitting a high point between ages 17 and 19.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/parents-warn-of-their-children-being-subjected-to-transgender-indoctrination_4055029.html\">Parents have said<\/a> the trans-indoctrination of their children began on social media, particularly TikTok.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/1299771\/tiktok-global-user-age-distribution\/\">Data compiled by Statista<\/a> shows the majority of TikTok users are between the ages of 18 and 24.<\/p>\n<p>Even in Canada, after more than five decades of blazing ahead of the curve on gay and trans rights issues, a new survey reveals that Canadians may have finally encountered an LGBT issue that even they consider a bridge too far\u2014the secret indoctrination of children in schools.<\/p>\n<p>While the pushback and the boycotts are evident, and the surveys and studies are enlightening, what actually caused the tide to start turning against the transgender movement?<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018The Data Actually Wasn\u2019t There\u2019<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>Wesley Smith is a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute of Human Exceptionalism.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Asked where he thinks the pushback began, Smith says it started when the data began to leak out, proving the advocates have been wrong all along.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened is there was this moral panic to immediately transition children and affirm when they believe they are a different sex than when they were born,\u201d Smith told The Epoch Times. \u201cThen they started looking at the actual data that we were told indicated that it\u2019s absolutely necessary and the only approach, and they found out that the data actually wasn\u2019t there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cSo when you have these counties, countries that are not the \u2018Bible Belt\/socially conservative countries, hitting the breaks on gender-affirming care for children based on data and finding that this belief is transitory, that gave people in the United States permission to look at this and say maybe we need to look at this more carefully,\u201d Smith suggested.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not the rising tide against the movement is strong enough to survive the \u201cLGBTQ juggernaut and the Biden administration\u201d remains to be seen, Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut they can no longer say the science is settled,\u201d Smith asserted. \u201cBecause the Western European countries have said, \u2018No, the science is not settled.\u2019 That means, if you\u2019re going to practice science properly, you need to have deep discussions, deep debates, and deep exchanges of ideas rather than basing it on ideology.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>\u2018Going for the Kids\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/analysis-americans-reject-trans-indoctrination-of-children-and-corporate-pride-campaigns_5360706.html\">recently reported<\/a> by The Epoch Times, Convention of States president and co-founder Mark Meckler says, \u201cGoing for the kids has caused a turning point.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3202589\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2020\/01\/13\/Mark-Meckler-photo-1200x675.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a><br \/>\n    <\/figure>\n<p>In a separate interview, Meckler says everything about the radical transgender movement \u201cfits every definition of a social contagion.\u201d He also said \u201csocial contagions are well studied\u201d and that \u201cpsychologists who are promoting this stuff just choose to disregard it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody who would design an experiment based on this kind of stuff and design the protocols for such an experiment could likely be called Hiltarian,\u201d Meckler told The Epoch Times. \u201cThe idea that we\u2019re experimenting on young children by cutting off body parts and trying to create body parts by doing Frankenstein surgeries and depriving them of their fertility without any knowledge of what will happen in the long run is something a [repressive] regime would do. No doctor could design a long-term study like that and have it accepted anywhere, and that\u2019s why there never has been any long-term study.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Julie Quist, board chair of the Child Protection League, agrees, saying the \u201ccommunication breakthrough\u201d came when Target took aim at children.<\/p>\n<p>Asked why the physical mutilation of children wasn\u2019t enough to inspire public backlash, Quist said it was because advocates of the movement had control of the narrative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe narrative is coming through major structures in our society, through government agencies, the education system, and through established, liberal media outlets,\u201d Quist explained to The Epoch Times. \u201cThey\u2019re all in on the lie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Quist also said, \u201cIt\u2019s a huge leap for the average person to make\u201d that people would actually want to harm children that way, and because the mainstream media reported only what activists wanted the public to hear, most were unaware it was happening. Those who did become aware heard only that it was a lifesaving event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut Americans woke up with the \u2018tuck friendly\u2019 Target line and the transgender Khol\u2019s onesies,\u201d she said. \u201cSuddenly, that was the communication that broke through. So, they did us a favor.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Quist suggests the radical transgender element has inflicted the same kind of damage to the gay rights movement as Black Lives Matter has wrought upon race relations. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/06\/01\/i-fought-for-gay-rights-but-trans-activists-have-destroyed-the-meaning-of-pride\/\">People in the gay community agree<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018They Ruined Everything\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Michael Costa, co-founder of Gays Against Groomers, says the gender movement is the most anti-gay movement he ever witnessed in his l<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to numerous studies and surveys, the transgender movement is facing setbacks due to its focus on children.
