However, the trip didn&#8217;t go as smoothly as planned.<\/p>\n<p>During the tour, there were challenges with the existing infrastructure for electric vehicles. Charging stations were broken, and there were more people wanting to charge than there were chargers available. Even in areas with lots of electric vehicles, there have been substantial problems with keeping chargers operational.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Granholm&#8217;s efforts to promote clean energy and electric vehicles, the reality of the EV charger shortage was evident. The &#8220;people-powered summer road trip&#8221; didn&#8217;t live up to expectations, highlighting the challenges that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-electric-vehicle-owners-face-logistical-nightmare-in-charging-cars\/\" title=\"Report: Electric Vehicle Owners Face 'Logistical Nightmare' in Charging Cars\">electric vehicle owners face<\/a> when it comes to charging their cars.<\/p>\n<p>It seems that Granholm may have been pining for a fling with her old flame, petroleum, after experiencing the frustrations of the EV charger shortage.
