The network confirmed Friday that Grossberg\u2019s complaint has been resolved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation,\u201d a spokesperson for the network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/06\/30\/business\/media\/abby-grossberg-fox-news-settlement.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fox has dealt with several company shakeups and high-profile legal matters in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>Fox settled a lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million in April. Several days later, the network abruptly fired Carlson and canceled his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tucker-carlson-and-fox-news-part-ways\/\" title=\"Tucker Carlson leaving Fox News: Network announces parting of ways with host\">wildly popular show<\/a>, \u201cTucker Carlson Tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Grossberg&#8217;s Allegations of a Hostile Work Environment<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Grossberg previously worked as chief booker of guests for Carlson\u2019s show, where she claimed she was subjected to a sexist and anti-Semitic work environment. She claimed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fox-news-settles-for-12-million-with-former-tucker-carlson-producer\/\" title=\"Fox News pays  million settlement to ex-Tucker Carlson producer.\">male producers made crude jokes<\/a> and put up photos of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a swimsuit.<\/p>\n<p>She accused Carlson in particular of making sexist and racist remarks, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/06\/30\/1185371179\/fox-pays-lawsuit-tucker-carlson-producer-dominion-bias-discrimination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">saying<\/a> he \u201cmade my life a living hell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know nothing about her. I never met her,\u201d Carlson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/06\/30\/1185371179\/fox-pays-lawsuit-tucker-carlson-producer-dominion-bias-discrimination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> NPR after Grossberg\u2019s lawsuit was filed. Grossberg had joined Carlson\u2019s team in September 2022 while Carlson mostly worked remotely from a studio in Maine. Previously, Grossberg had worked since 2019 as a senior producer for host Maria Bartiromo.<\/p>\n<p><b>Pressure to Lie in Deposition<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Grossberg\u2019s other lawsuit against Fox, which has now been dismissed, claimed the network\u2019s legal team had pressured her to lie in her sworn deposition for the Dominion lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>She claimed she felt pressured to defend Carlson when Dominion\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-asks-court-not-to-release-tax-returns-to-congress\/\" title=\"Trump Asks Court Not To Release Tax Returns To Congress\">legal team asked<\/a> her whether she was surprised Carlson used a sexist term.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Grossberg knew full well that Mr. Carlson was very capable of using such disgusting language about women,\u201d the lawsuit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/06\/30\/1185371179\/fox-pays-lawsuit-tucker-carlson-producer-dominion-bias-discrimination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated<\/a>, adding that, \u201ccolleagues at Fox News spew misogynistic phrases at her (or within her earshot) on a constant basis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox strongly denied Grossberg\u2019s allegations that the network had intimidated her.<\/p>\n<p>She also accused Fox of retaliating against her because of her lawsuits. She was fired several days after she filed her complaints.<\/p>\n<p>Former top \u201cTucker Carlson Tonight\u201d producer Justin Wells, who was named in the hostile work environment lawsuit, released a statement Friday reacting to the settlement and denying the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe deny Ms. Grossberg\u2019s claims and allegations against Tucker Carlson and his team,\u201d Wells <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/fox-news-settles-bombshell-lawsuits-with-ex-producer-abby-grossberg-for-dollar12-million\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> in his statement. \u201cNevertheless, we are glad that Fox has settled this matter and that all sides can move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fox News will pay $12 million to Abby Grossberg, a former producer for Tucker Carlson, to settle her two lawsuits.
