Decades of liberal jurisprudence have been rolled back. Conservatives are celebrating. These are some sweet, sweet legal victories. Liberals are certainly doing everything that they can to smear the court as illegitimate. It seems the court is now a conservative powerhouse \u2014 and ideally, it\u2019s just getting started.<\/p>\n<h3>Not Just Ideology: A Closer Look at Voting Patterns<\/h3>\n<p>Now, on paper, a review of how judges voted in this most recent term shows that Democrat-appointed and Republican-appointed judges aren\u2019t necessarily voting strictly along ideology lines in most cases.<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/whignewtons\/status\/1674800421985038336?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News\u2019 Sarah Isgur<\/a>, there has been a unanimous decision 50% of the time this term, at least one liberal justice has been in the majority 89% of the time, and there has been a 6-3 decision with all Republican appointees on the same side a mere 8% of the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoting blocs weren\u2019t that different. If you only look at the non-unanimous cases, the 3 Democratic appointees voted together 24% of the time and the 6 Republican appointees voted together 17% of the time,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, some court cases are bigger than others. So those stats don\u2019t tell the whole story.<\/p>\n<p><h3>Monumental Decisions: Affirmative Action, Free Speech, and Student Loans<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>This week alone, affirmative action was rolled back, free speech was protected, and the Biden administration\u2019s student loan plan was stuck down. Justices in the majority systematically dismantled the three liberal dissenters in each case.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the liberal dissenters seemed as if they were looking at another case altogether \u2014 to paraphrase Justice Neil Gorsuch\u2019s rebuke in the majority opinion in the case of <em>303 Creative LLC v. Elenis<\/em>. In that decision, the high court cited the First Amendment in ruling that Lorie Smith could not be forced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/activists-seek-to-resuscitate-1972-equal-rights-amendment\/\" title=\"Activists Seek to Resuscitate 1972 Equal Rights Amendment\">state civil rights law<\/a> to design websites that run counter to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-marine-corps-commanders-using-form-letter-to-deny-religious-exemptions\/\" title=\"Exclusive: Marine Corps Commanders Using Form Letter to Deny Religious Exemptions\">sincerely-held religious beliefs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1687972190386000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2poz7lKxiyhNV9ljBcMSzM\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dissent abandons what this court\u2019s cases have recognized time and time again: A commitment to speech for only some persons and some messages is no commitment at all,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/supreme-court-sides-with-christian-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-work-on-same-sex-weddings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Of the decision, Law Professor Jonathan Turley said, \u201cThis will go down as one of the most important free speech cases in the history of the court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On affirmative action, Justice Clarence Thomas spent his time dismantling Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson\u2019s entire worldview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMake no mistake: Her dissent is not a vanguard of the innocent and helpless,\u201d he wrote. \u201cIt is instead a call to empower privileged elites, who will \u2018tell us [what] is required to level the playing field\u2019 among castes and classifications that they alone can divine\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The student loan decision, while not upending the sort of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-conservative-6-3-court-gives-plenty-of-reasons-to-celebrate\/\" title=\"Celebrate the Conservative 6-3 Court!\">wrongly decided precedent found<\/a> in affirmative action or free speech, is still a gigantic deal.<\/p>\n<p>Here too, the majority opinion and the dissenting opinion show how different the conservative vs. the liberal view of the Constitution truly is. It seems abundantly obvious that President Joe Biden and the Democrats forced the loan forgiveness through while knowing it was illegal.<\/p>\n<p>To that extent, Chief Justice John Roberts even cited former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi\u2019s observations that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/supreme-court-quoted-pelosi-in-decision-that-killed-bidens-student-debt-cancellation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">president can\u2019t cancel student debt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As described by conservative <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonrantz\/status\/1674792698086293505?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commentator<\/a> Jason Rantz, \u201cBiden and the Democrats knew what they were doing was overreach. And the Liberal SCOTUS judges who chose ideology over the law should feel abject shame for their dissent, which is meant to divide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One could rebut that liberal judges tend to always choose ideology over the law \u2014 which is how you get judicial activism. Conservative justices haven\u2019t always put up the best fight against those efforts. Readers should remember that it wasn\u2019t too long ago that Roberts was delivering victories for President Barack Obama \u2014 so much so that he even developed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/06\/30\/us\/politics\/supreme-court-abortion-roberts.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reputation as a liberal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now though, the court is beginning to undo decades of bad decisions, while at the same exposing the nonsensical ideology that has guided it.<\/p>\n<p>So perhaps the reason for the freakout over the court this week is two-fold: The first reason is that Leftists can\u2019t stand when things don\u2019t go their way.
