Reading Justice Ketanji \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2022\/02\/26\/ketanji-brown-jackson-black-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Black Girl Magic<\/a>\u201d Brown Jackson\u2019s dissenting opinion in the college <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/30\/the-15-best-zingers-maxims-and-mic-drops-from-clarence-thomas-harvard-concurrence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">race-based admissions case<\/a> is truly one of those times.<\/p>\n<h2>The Supreme Court&#8217;s Ruling<\/h2>\n<p>The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against institutions of higher education using race as a factor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-justice-department-drops-discrimination-lawsuit-against-yale\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Justice Department Drops Discrimination Lawsuit Against Yale\">admissions process<\/a>, which prestigious ones like Harvard have been doing for years in order to artificially boost black and Hispanic enrollment, at the expense of white and Asian applicants.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1481294079\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-181ef6c019430e736d932ce57613a8e3 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-181ef6c019430e736d932ce57613a8e3\"><\/div>\n<p>In essence, the court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/22pdf\/20-1199_hgdj.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">determined<\/a> that it violates the 14th Amendment for colleges and universities to prefer some races over others, a concept traditionally known as racism. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion, \u201cEliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Jackson&#8217;s Dissenting Opinion<\/h3>\n<p>And then there\u2019s Jackson, who professed to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/29\/ketanji-brown-jacksons-dissent-is-an-argument-for-institutional-racism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">believe in the opposite<\/a>. \u201cOur country has never been colorblind,\u201d she said in her dissent. She said that in reality, because race-based admissions \u201chelp to address\u201d past discrimination against blacks, they are actually \u201cto the benefit of us all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hear that, Asian applicants? Losing a spot at Harvard to someone of lower academic achievement is actually to your benefit! You should be saying thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson then chronicled every way in which blacks are at a disadvantage \u2014 including in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tedfrank\/status\/1674541559545573382\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fictional ways<\/a> \u2014 asserting that the only way to remedy the matter was to then compensate black Americans with preferential treatment. \u201cThe only way out of this morass\u2014for all of us\u2014is to stare at racial disparity unblinkingly,\u201d she wrote, \u201cand then do what evidence and experts tell us is required to level the playing field and march forward together, collectively striving to achieve true equality for all Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-55f70b8ccb638f4304be37906db8afa9 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-55f70b8ccb638f4304be37906db8afa9\"><\/div>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear whether Jackson knows that she\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/affirmative-action-is-another-nonsense-leftist-position-weve-been-conditioned-to-take-seriously\/\" title=\"Affirmative Action: A Leftist Position We're Conditioned to Take Seriously\">sitting justice charged<\/a> with determining whether policies are constitutionally sound and not an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/laura-hollis-academic-theories-should-not-be-the-basis-for-public-policy\/\" title=\"Laura Hollis: Academic Theories Should Not Be the Basis for Public Policy\">academic theorizing<\/a> on what a perfect world might look like.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the colleges of this country are required to ignore a thing that matters, it will not just go away,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt will take longer for racism to leave us. And, ultimately, ignoring race just makes it matter more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>It just does!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re told to take this person seriously, just like we\u2019re told to take it seriously that a man who says he\u2019s a woman is actually, literally indistinguishable from any other woman.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-44456bf3197d5279e32f51042a53467f fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-44456bf3197d5279e32f51042a53467f\"><\/div>\n<p>People like Jackson say things like, \u201cIf we aren\u2019t allowed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-poised-to-reject-democratic-challenge-to-arizona-election-laws\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Poised to Reject Democratic Challenge to Arizona Election Laws\">discriminate based<\/a> on race, racism will get worse,\u201d and we\u2019re expected to consider it a legitimate and logical argument. Up is truly down and the quickest way from point A to point B is to zig-zag and take a break at the halfway mark.<\/p>\n<p>Covid might have leaked from a virology lab.<\/p>\n<p><em>That\u2019s racist!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It definitely came from the primitive Chinese tradition of filthy wet markets with exotic sea creatures.<\/p>\n<p><em>Thank you for the respect.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dump another trillion dollars into America\u2019s oversaturated welfare economy. We\u2019ll call it \u201cinflation reduction\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month a Marine vet <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/18\/michael-jackson-would-have-thanked-daniel-penny-for-his-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saved New York subway passengers<\/a> from an erratic vagrant screaming about death. The intellectual response from the left was that it was an act of white supremacy.<\/p>\n<p>Legalizing crime makes everybody safer, freer, and happier.<\/p>\n<p>Ketanji Brown Jackson\u2019s dissent is an extension of all of that tripe.
