Brad Wenstrup (R., Ohio) <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/release\/wenstrup-reveals-explosive-emails-from-fauci-ally-requests-additional-communications\/\">released<\/a> findings Thursday from an investigation by his committee, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, that show potential violations of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/always-communicate-on-gmail-fauci-adviser-hid-emails-from-foia\/\" title=\"Fauci adviser concealed emails from FOIA, prioritize Gmail for communication.\">federal record-keeping laws<\/a> by David Morens, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/alcohol-related-deaths-soared-during-pandemic-outpaced-covid-19-for-adults-under-65-study-says\/\" title=\"Alcohol-Related Deaths Soared During Pandemic, Outpaced COVID-19 For Adults Under 65, Study Says\">senior scientific adviser<\/a> at NIAID.<\/p>\n<p>Morens admitted in emails obtained by Wenstrup that he used his private Gmail account to hide communications in case of Freedom of Information Act requests.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In one e-mail you write that you \u2018always try to communicate over gmail because my NIH email is FOIA\u2019d constantly,\u2019&#8221; Wenstrup wrote to Morens in a letter requesting his personal email communications. &#8220;You continue, \u2018[d]on\u2019t worry, just send to any of my addresses and I will delete anything I don\u2019t want to see in the <em>New York Times<\/em>.\u2019&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In another email, Morens said Fauci asked him to participate in a media interview about the origins of COVID-19 because, Morens speculated, &#8220;Tony doesn&#8217;t want his fingerprints on origin stories.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In that interview, according to Wenstrup, Morens implied against the likelihood of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tom-cotton-responds-to-ex-cdc-chiefs-belief-that-pandemic-started-in-lab-this-was-never-a-conspiracy-theory\/\" title=\"Tom Cotton Responds To Ex-CDC Chief\u2019s Belief That Pandemic Started In Lab: \u2018This Was Never A Conspiracy Theory\u2019\">lab leak theory<\/a>, which has been <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/intel-report-says-lab-leak-is-now-considered-a-possibility-by-every-us-intelligence-agency\/\">embraced<\/a> to some extent by all U.S. intelligence agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Wenstrup said the findings &#8220;raise additional serious concerns about your objectivity while stationed in the Office of the Director of NIAID.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In March, reports revealed Fauci <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/fauci-commissioned-report-to-dismiss-lab-leak-theory-emails-show\/\">commissioned<\/a> a study to disprove the lab leak theory and later pretended to not know the study&#8217;s authors.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>Fauci&#8217;s Contradictory Actions<\/h3>\n<p>Fauci cited the February 2020 report, called &#8220;The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,&#8221; during a White House press conference on April 17, 2020, where he pretended to be unfamiliar with the authors.<\/p>\n<p>But Fauci held a call with the four authors in February 2020 to discuss new evidence that the pandemic emerged from a leak at China&#8217;s Wuhan Institute of Virology. The authors sent Fauci the paper, which claimed that COVID likely emerged from an animal-to-human infection, for edits before its publication, the <i>New York Post<\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/03\/05\/new-emails-show-fauci-commissioned-paper-to-disprove-wuhan-lab-leak-theory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A probe by Rep.
