Retailers Try to Unload Bud Light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The stock of Bud Light manufacturer Anheuser-Busch InBev has crashed more than 15 percent since early April, the report said. Last month, Modelo Especial replaced Bud Light as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/official-bud-light-loses-top-selling-beer-status-us-brand-now-king\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">top-selling beer<\/a> in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, some industry experts say the damage to the brand has been so calamitous that it might never recover.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Wagner, the manager of Glenn Miller\u2019s Beer &#038; Soda Warehouse in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/two-top-anheuser-busch-execs-behind-mulvaney-partnership-now-job-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bud Light<\/a> sales at his distribution center have tanked 45 percent since April.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this point, it\u2019s cheaper than some of the cases of water we\u2019re selling in the back,\u201d Wagner told the Times. \u201cIt\u2019s just not moving like it used to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><h3>Struggling to Win Back Customers<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>Bud Light is struggling to win back once-loyal customers after being steamrolled by a crushing conservative boycott.<\/p>\n<p>According to Wagner, Anheuser-Busch made a fatal error when it broke longstanding \u201cbar rules\u201d of avoiding politics and religion in its marketing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not that [customers] stopped drinking beer,\u201d he said. \u201cThey just stopped buying Bud Light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wagner also said it\u2019s possible that Bud Light might never recover some of its lost customers in the wake of the Mulvaney debacle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve seen longtime Bud Light customers trying other beers,\u201d he said. \u201cIf they find something they like, they may not come back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other industry experts agree that the damage Bud Light did when it cavalierly used a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dylan-mulvaney-reveals-status-partnership-bud-light-fate-infamous-can\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">man pretending to be a woman<\/a> to promote its beer could have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/young-americans-must-lead-the-way-in-opposing-additional-covid-shutdowns\/\" title=\"Young Americans Must Lead The Way In Opposing Additional COVID Shutdowns\">long-term consequences<\/a> beyond just this summer.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, Bud Light <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bud-light-murdered-memorial-day-americans-show-left-sold-beer-aisles-across-country\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is being decimated<\/a> during the critical summer sales season \u2014 May through August \u2014 which makes up as much as 40 percent of annual beer sales.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere we are about 10 weeks into it, and we\u2019re still seeing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gallup-gop-now-viewed-as-better-party-for-security-prosperity\/\" title=\"GALLUP: GOP Now Viewed As Better Party For Security, Prosperity\">double-digit declines<\/a> in volumes nationally,\u201d beverage industry consultant Bump Williams told the Times. \u201cThis is no longer an anomaly. This is a trend of concern.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anheuser-Busch is so desperate to staunch the bleeding that it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anheuser-busch.com\/newsroom\/bud-light-unveils-the-brands-biggest-summer-campaign-ever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">giving away $10,000<\/a> a week as part of its \u201cEasy to Summer\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Over the Fourth of July weekend, it\u2019s also offering $15 rebates on a 15-pack of Bud Light and Budweiser.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This made me laugh.
