This additional payment, worth up to $914 for individual filers, is part of a unique scheduling quirk.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The payment is the second of two checks for the month of June. It will take the place of July&#8217;s payment because of a kink in the Social Security Administration&#8217;s calendar. The initial payment was sent on June first.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Ensuring 12 Checks per Year<\/h3>\n<p>Typically, SSI recipients receive one payment each month. However, in months where the first of the following month falls on a weekend, they receive two checks. This adjustment ensures that recipients still receive 12 checks per year, even though the distribution may vary.<\/p>\n<p>This year, there are four months in which two payments will be delivered in the same month: March, June, September, and December.
