But there\u2019s a major flaw in their evidence.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Rep. Jamie Raskin (D., Md.), the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, <a href=\"https:\/\/oversightdemocrats.house.gov\/sites\/democrats.oversight.house.gov\/files\/2023-06-29.JBR%20to%20Comer%20re%20Form-1023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released<\/a> a transcript of a conversation that Burisma Holdings owner Mykola Zlochevsky had in 2019 regarding his company\u2019s relationship with Hunter Biden. Raskin\u2019s release was a rebuttal to Republican inquiries regarding an FBI informant who told the bureau that Zlochevsky boasted of paying $10 million in bribes to Hunter Biden and then-Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/oversightdemocrats.house.gov\/sites\/democrats.oversight.house.gov\/files\/VPanswersJuly7th2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the transcript<\/a>, Zlochevsky denied having any conversations with Joe Biden as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: 'Pipeline' to Obama Admin Seen as 'Currency'\">vice president<\/a> or paying any bribes. Zlochevsky also claimed that &#8220;no one from Burisma ever had any contacts with VP Biden or people working for him during Hunter Biden\u2019s engagement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But this claim is false, raising questions about the veracity of Zlochevsky\u2019s statement. Emails from Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop show Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi met Joe Biden at a charity event in Washington, D.C., in 2015. Pozharskyi, who served as Zlochevsky\u2019s right-hand man at Burisma, thanked Hunter Biden in an email for &#8220;giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Republicans cited that email as evidence that Joe Biden had knowledge of his son\u2019s business dealings. Since then, numerous other examples have emerged showing the elder Biden involved in his son\u2019s affairs. Joe Biden attended at least two meetings with Hunter Biden that involved a deal with CEFC China Energy. And Hunter Biden sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mother-arrested-after-creating-deepfake-images-showing-teen-daughters-cheerleader-rivals-naked-drinking\/\" title=\"Mother Arrested After Creating \u2018Deepfake\u2019 Images Showing Teen Daughter\u2019s Cheerleader Rivals Naked, Drinking\">threatening text message<\/a> in July 2017 to a CEFC executive in which he said he and his father were waiting together for a phone call to discuss an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-claim-these-documents-show-joe-biden-didnt-take-bribes-theres-just-one-problem\/\" title=\"Dems argue documents prove Biden's innocence, but there's a catch.\">unpaid business agreement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans have acknowledged that they have not verified that Zlochevsky paid bribes. But they have asked the FBI whether the bureau investigated the claims.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>While Raskin has questioned Republicans\u2019 evidence, there is reason to be skeptical about the latest transcript.<\/p>\n<p>According to Raskin, the transcript released Thursday is from a conversation between Zlochevsky and Lev Parnas, a former associate of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who was convicted of fraud. Parnas claimed to have interviewed Zlochevsky as part of his investigation into Hunter Biden\u2019s work for Burisma.
