In the case, <em>Students for Fair Admissions<\/em> v. <em>Harvard<\/em>, the Court ruled that colleges and universities can no longer use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-exempts-military-academies-in-affirmative-action-ruling\/\" title=\"Supreme Court exempts military academies from affirmative action ruling.\">race-based admissions programs<\/a>, with Chief Justice John Roberts writing that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-barone-we-dont-need-racial-quotas-to-showcase-americas-diversity\/\" title=\"Michael Barone: We Don't Need Racial Quotas to Showcase America's Diversity\">racial admissions preferences<\/a> &#8220;cannot be reconciled with the guarantees of the Equal Protection Clause.&#8221; The vast majority of Americans, including around 60 percent of Democrats, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/supreme-court-affirmative-action\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agree<\/a>, according to a <em>New York Times<\/em> poll.<\/p>\n<p>The reporter in her question referenced the Congressional Black Caucus&#8217;s statement on the ruling, which <a href=\"https:\/\/cbc.house.gov\/news\/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2419\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> the Court &#8220;has thrown into question its own legitimacy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Biden&#8217;s Statement Raises Concerns<\/h3>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-biden-trashes-scotus-after-affirmative-action-decision\/\" title=\"VIDEO: Biden Criticizes SCOTUS Over Affirmative Action Ruling\">statement casting doubt<\/a> on the Court&#8217;s integrity comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/06\/10\/us\/politics\/trump-documents-indictment-democracy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">numerous<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2023\/06\/17\/trump-indictment-candidacy-democracy-institutions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">outlets<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/jun\/05\/trump-criticis-doj-rule-of-law-second-term\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">academics<\/a> said that former president Donald Trump threatened democracy and the rule of law in the wake of his indictment.<\/p>\n<p>While Biden has touted his support for the rule of law, he is facing his own legal challenges. In recent days, the president angrily <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/no-i-wasnt-joe-biden-angrily-denies-knowledge-of-hunters-shakedown-texts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">denied<\/a> knowing of his son Hunter&#8217;s threatening 2017 texts to a Chinese businessman. Hunter Biden claimed that he was with his father when he wrote the texts, the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/photos-place-hunter-biden-at-fathers-house-the-day-he-invoked-dads-name-to-chinese-business-partner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.
