President &#038; Fellows of Harvard College<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ending-affirmative-action-wont-stop-the-university-systems-racist-admissions-practices\/\" title=\"Ending Affirmative Action Won't Halt Racist Admissions in Universities.\">ending racist affirmative action policies<\/a>, is a blow to the anti-American, discriminatory ideals of the modern left and a win for equality and our Constitution. As Justice Clarence Thomas stated in his concurrence, the decision upholds the Fourteenth Amendment. \u201cIn the wake of the Civil War,\u201d wrote Thomas, \u201cthe Framers of the Fourteenth Amendment charted a way out: a colorblind Constitution that requires the government to, at long last, put aside its citizens\u2019 skin color and focus on their individual achievements.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The ruling is a very positive step in the right direction. However, it, unfortunately, does not mean universities\u2019 racial discrimination will end.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2048442173\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-63865ca4e5c592c61238960467e10839 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-63865ca4e5c592c61238960467e10839\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/view.hu.harvard.edu\/?qs=eadb8f5246fa9767a1dd99781450e131a0c9fe09ed032c70073cf7cafef1ab01fbdb6d292cbdc8f660f65421949b337dea41158ef165ee2f774599e5744ec3223e15a2a701351bc16a39d000e1a5f806\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harvard<\/a>, one of the institutions involved in the Supreme Court case, already issued a statement asserting that it will continue to discriminate based on race in spite of the Court\u2019s ruling. \u201cThe Court held that Harvard College\u2019s admissions system does not comply with the principles of the equal protection clause embodied in Title VI of the Civil Rights Act,\u201d reads the statement. \u201cThe Court also ruled that colleges and universities may consider in admissions decisions \u2018an applicant\u2019s discussion of how race affected his or her life, be it through discrimination, inspiration, or otherwise.\u2019 We will certainly comply with the Court\u2019s decision.\u201d \u201c[D]iversity,\u201d continues the statement, is \u201cessential to academic excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of America\u2019s most famous and supposedly \u201cpremier\u201d institutions of higher learning couldn\u2019t be more wrong. <em>Intelligence<\/em> is the most essential component of academic excellence. That\u2019s why it\u2019s crucial to understand academic excellence is <em>not<\/em> Harvard\u2019s goal. \u201cThe goal of the modern university is not education of the nation\u2019s best and brightest,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/seanmdav\/status\/1674423323097456641?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">writes<\/a> Sean Davis, CEO of The Federalist. \u201cThe goal is indoctrination and credentialing. The corrupt university cartel is not going to suddenly do a 180 on its obvious goals because of a pesky court decision[] telling it to stop being racist. They\u2019re going to be even more race- and identity-obsessed going forward, but now they\u2019ll start trying to hide it better.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Abolishing Measures of Intelligence<\/h2>\n<p>One of the university system\u2019s best mechanisms for covertly carrying out affirmative action is the elimination of GPA and ACT and SAT testing requirements in applications. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/12\/16\/us\/harvard-admissions-act-sat.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harvard<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfae.org\/education\/2022-04-07\/unc-system-schools-wont-require-sat-or-act-for-admissions-through-fall-of-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of North Carolina<\/a> (the second institution involved in the Supreme Court case) already do not require standardized testing for admissions, and more will follow suit.<\/p>\n<p>Universities claim that getting rid of measures of intelligence allows them to view applicants \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu\/apply\/process\/testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">holistically<\/a>,\u201d meaning that they can curate their ideal campus based on immutable qualities like race, sex, sexual orientation, and supposed \u201cgender identity,\u201d not merit.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-49f631f660ef544602cf12f03b6a15e7 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-49f631f660ef544602cf12f03b6a15e7\"><\/div>\n<p>Those opposed to the Court\u2019s ruling are already encouraging institutions to throw out all quantifiers for mental acuity. \u201cSupreme Court\u2019s Rejection of Race-Conscious College Admissions Heightens Need for Eliminating Use of Standardized Tests in Admissions; Holistic Process Necessary to Maintain Diversity and Justice,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/fairtest.org\/supreme-courts-rejection-of-race-conscious-college-admissions-heightens-need-for-eliminating-use-of-standardized-tests-in-admissions-holistic-process-necessary-to-maintain-diversity-and-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reads<\/a> a headline from Fairtest, an organization <a href=\"https:\/\/fairtest.org\/higher-ed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">seeking<\/a> to help \u201cwomen, low-income students, and underrepresented minorities\u201d by ending universities\u2019 \u201coverreliance on tests.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>The Next Step Is Ideological Discrimination<\/h2>\n<p>For decades, universities have been inhibiting intellectual diversity by hiring <a href=\"https:\/\/mises.org\/power-market\/yes-college-professors-are-almost-all-left-wing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">almost exclusively<\/a> leftists professors, mandating students participate in cultural Marxist diversity trainings, establishing critical theory departments (as if critical theory was akin to physics or history and not drenched in ideology), and overall creating a campus culture that ostracizes any idea or <a href=\"https:\/\/chicagomaroon.com\/27638\/viewpoints\/op-ed\/iop-whiteboard-girl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">person<\/a> deviating from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mcdaniel-big-tech-suppressed-the-truth-about-covid-19\/\" title=\"McDaniel: Big Tech Suppressed The Truth About COVID-19\u00a0\">left-wing orthodoxy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Conservative students are told by professors and students alike that their opinions are \u201chateful\u201d and not worthy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/nearly-half-of-students-uncomfortable-expressing-controversial-views-on-campus-new-fire-free-speech-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">classroom discussion<\/a>. Ultimately, most campus conservative professors and students are bullied into silence.<\/p>\n<p>The intolerance may have reached new heights with political admission discrimination. Left-wing students at my alma mater, the University of Chicago, actively encourage the administration not to admit right-leaning students lest our university educate and enable another \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/01\/28\/leftists-want-the-next-ted-cruz-or-josh-hawley-exiled-from-name-brand-universities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ted Cruz or Josh Hawley<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-03243c95fa528e79fb36ffa25ae7e9ac fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-03243c95fa528e79fb36ffa25ae7e9ac\"><\/div>\n<p>For all we know, universities are already discriminating against applicants who were part of conservative clubs in high school or wrote an admissions essay with a right-leaning message. That\u2019s why these supposed \u201cholistic\u201d evaluations are so nefarious. They allow universities to deploy opaque and discriminatory admissions practices based on immutable qualities under the guise of \u201cfairness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We already have numerous examples of universities overtly discriminating against incoming conservative college students who made politically charged statements and saw their admissions either threatened to be revoked or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/marquette-revokes-admission-of-student-who-compared-kneeling-during-anthem-to-george-floyds-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">actually revoked<\/a>. In 2020, Marquette University <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/07\/28\/cancel-culture-crew-nearly-got-me-expelled-before-id-even-started-college\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">almost revoked<\/a> the admission of incoming student Samantha Pfefferle because she posted several benign TikToks in support of then-President Donald Trump. \u201cThe content you are pushing out has created this environment that is contrary to a learning environment that we hope our students are \u00adengaged in,\u201d Associate Dean of Students Erin Lazzar told Pfefferle.<\/p>\n<h2>Rejecting The Pursuit Of Truth<\/h2>\n<p>Universities are no longer interested in the pursuit of knowledge. If they were, they\u2019d accept students based on academic achievement and quit hindering free speech. Instead, universities are vehicles for political change. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/from-john-wayne-to-john-wick-american-cinema-loves-the-noble-outlaw\/\" title=\"From John Wayne To John Wick, American Cinema Loves The Noble Outlaw\">late-20th century<\/a>, institutions of higher learning were commandeered by Marxist critical theorists; these radical professors and students were able to seamlessly throw the pursuit of truth out the window in part due to the absence and eschewing of Christianity at universities across the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Non-religious and eventually religious schools were given a new god, the god of social justice. Critical theorists created nonsensical fields of study, like ethnic studies, women\u2019s studies, gender studies, queer theory, and feminist media studies \u2014 all of which hide a secular-Marxist worldview behind a veil of identitarian grievance. The activists put their ideology on the same pedestal as genuine fields of study and bullied older and wiser academics into giving their false disciplines credibility, lest they be branded as bigots.<\/p>\n<p>The tactics have not changed. For decades now, universities have been cosplaying as schools, rejecting truth and annihilating intellectual diversity. They are designed to produce students with one type of political ideation so that after graduation, they go out into the rest of the world and further the cultural Marxist revolution in every sector of American society.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the problems are <em>embedded<\/em> in universities and cannot be fixed by a Supreme Court ruling.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4f7b591ebb9ae8a6cad62abcb6a3d812 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4f7b591ebb9ae8a6cad62abcb6a3d812\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling in Students for Fair Admissions Inc. v.
