(In comparison,\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9eWP5PEvLi\">pic.twitter.com\/9eWP5PEvLi<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Amiri King (@AmiriKing) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AmiriKing\/status\/1669481848068534272?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 15, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script type=\"text\/plain\" data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" async data-cmplz-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The 20-year-old from Queens was on the train with his girlfriend around 8:00 pm when Devictor Ouedraogo, an ex-con who had served time in 2009 for attempted robbery, began harassing the passengers yelling that he was going to \u201cerase someone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ouedraogo then approached Williams\u2019 girlfriend and verbally harassed her. Williams then shoved Ouedraogo away when he refused to leave her alone. <\/p>\n<p>Ouedraogo then proceeded to attack the couple, the altercation ended when Williams drew out a knife and fatally stabbed him.<\/p>\n<p>Williams was arrested and charged shortly after the incident, but he was released without bail.<\/p>\n<p>A grand jury found that Williams, who had been charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, had acted in self-defense and refused to indict him.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cOur office conducted an impartial and thorough investigation of this tragic case,\u201d a spokesman for District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said. \u201cWhich included review of multiple videos and interviews with all available witnesses, and that evidence was fairly presented to a grand jury. Today, the charges against Jordan Williams have been dismissed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to the video footage of the incident, witnesses supported Williams\u2019 defense that he had acted in self-defense only after being attacked.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cUnder New York law,\u201d the District Attorney\u2019s office stated. \u201cA person is justified in using deadly physical force when they reasonably believe it is necessary to use such force to defend themselves or others from imminent use of deadly or unlawful physical force.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Williams\u2019 father, James Williams, said that he was \u201cthankful to everybody\u2019s energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m ecstatic,\u201d James Williams said. \u201cI am very thankful to everybody\u2019s energy and everything that has transpired to clear my son\u2019s name so he can continue to live his life and move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The case of Williams has been compared to Daniel Penny who had been indicted and pleaded not guilty as he was arraigned on manslaughter charges in relation to the death of Jordan Neely on May 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/c3.oann.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Daniel Penny and Jordan Williams are accused in fatal subway killings.  Some people are saying the cases are different.  I don&#8217;t.  They&#8217;re both innocent.
