This is not how college admissions work,&#8221; he emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Understanding College Admissions<\/h3>\n<p>Biden went on to explain the process of college admissions, highlighting that prospective students must first meet the school&#8217;s initial requirements such as test scores and GPA. Only after meeting these criteria are they considered for admission, with a number of factors, including race, taken into account.<\/p>\n<p>When questioned about the Supreme Court being labeled as &#8220;a rogue court,&#8221; Biden responded, &#8220;This is not a normal court.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Supreme Court&#8217;s Ruling<\/h3>\n<p>The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the use of racially discriminatory admissions criteria at U.S. colleges is unconstitutional, effectively banning the use of affirmative action in higher education. This has long been a goal for conservatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the court&#8217;s opinion that universities have wrongly prioritized an individual&#8217;s identity based on the color of their skin, rather than their challenges overcome, skills developed, or lessons learned.
