David Perdue in runoff battle with Democrat Jon Ossoff\">strong stance<\/a> against gambling, suspending three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/three-nfl-players-suspended-indefinitely-over-2022-gambling-scandal\/\" title=\"Three NFL players face indefinite suspensions due to a gambling scandal in 2022.\">players indefinitely<\/a> for their involvement in betting on games during the 2022 season. Indianapolis Colts players Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry, along with free agent Demetrius Taylor, will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nearly-200-hospital-workers-will-be-fired-in-houston-if-they-dont-get-vaccinated\/\" title=\"Nearly 200 Hospital Workers Will Be Fired In Houston If They Don\u2019t Get Vaccinated\">face suspension<\/a> until the end of the 2023 season. In addition, Nicholas Petit-Frere of the Tennessee Titans will be suspended for six games for betting on non-NFL sports within the club facility.<\/p>\n<h3>Petit-Frere&#8217;s Eligibility and Reinstatement<\/h3>\n<p>While Petit-Frere will still be able to participate in offseason and preseason activities and games, Rodgers, Berry, and Taylor will have to &#8220;petition for reinstatement at the conclusion of the 2023 season,&#8221; according to the NFL&#8217;s statement.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The gambling policy, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-signs-law-creating-police-unit-to-deal-with-election-crimes\/\" title=\"DeSantis Signs Law Creating Police Unit To Deal With Election Crimes\">annually reviewed<\/a> with all NFL personnel, including players, prohibits anyone in the NFL from engaging in any form of gambling in any club or league facility or venue, including the practice facility,&#8221; the statement read.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rodgers expressed remorse for his actions in an Instagram post, acknowledging his mistakes and vowing to make amends. &#8220;I&#8217;ve let people down that I care about,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;I made an error in judgment and I am going to work hard to make sure that those mistakes are rectified throughout the process. It&#8217;s an honor to play in the NFL, and I am very sorry for all of this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Petit-Frere defended his actions, stating that the betting he engaged in was not NFL-related and was legal under Tennessee law.
