He Was Just Charged Again.\">separate cases<\/a>, 6-2 and 6-3, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/supreme-court-strikes-down-affirmative-action-policies-at-us-colleges_5363356.html\">to outlaw discriminatory admissions practices at U.S. colleges.<\/a> The cases involved policies at Harvard University and the University of North Carolina. An appeal has already been filed. The decision forces institutions of higher learning \u201cto look for new ways to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-other-gop-presidential-candidates-respond-to-historic-affirmative-action-ruling\/\" title=\"Trump, GOP candidates react to landmark affirmative action ruling.\">achieve diverse student bodies<\/a>,\u201d The Associated Press said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/110628177049730996\">statement<\/a> was also posted on his Truth Social account, said the ruling has global implications. \u201cIt will also keep us competitive with the rest of the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2>Agreement From DeSantis, Too<\/h2>\n<p>The former president\u2019s closest GOP rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, agreed the decision was correct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollege admissions should be based on merit, and applicants should not be judged on their race or ethnicity.
