The ruling was met with celebration by many within hours of its announcement by the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump, who is considered the frontrunner for the GOP&#8217;s next presidential nomination, expressed his support for the ruling, calling it a &#8220;great day for America.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;People with extraordinary ability and all the necessary qualities for success, including future greatness for our country, are finally being rewarded. Despite their policy differences, they both agree that the Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling is a positive decision for the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s campaign recently accused DeSantis of copying the former president&#8217;s immigration agenda.
