Claim Against Ivanka<\/h2>\n<p>The Trump family can finally breathe a sigh of relief as they cross off one politically charged legal wrangle brought about by a leftist prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>A New York appeals court on Tuesday delivered a significant victory by removing Ivanka Trump as a co-defendant in a civil fraud lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James in September, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/06\/27\/politics\/ivanka-trump-civil-fraud-case-donald-trump\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/ag.ny.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/tto_complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuit<\/a> \u2014 which still includes former President Donald Trump, his two adult sons, and the Trump Organization as civil defendants \u2014 is ongoing.<\/p>\n<h3>Accusations of Financial Fraud<\/h3>\n<p>In a September 21 <a href=\"https:\/\/ag.ny.gov\/press-release\/2022\/attorney-general-james-sues-donald-trump-years-financial-fraud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a>, James\u2019 office made explosive allegations, claiming that Trump and his associates had engaged in &#8220;years of financial fraud to obtain a host of economic benefits.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The release stated, &#8220;The lawsuit alleges that Donald Trump, with the help of his children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump, and senior executives at the Trump Organization, falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to induce banks to lend money to the Trump Organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company, to satisfy continuing loan covenants, to induce insurers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/second-federal-court-blocks-biden-mandate-requiring-doctors-to-perform-trans-surgeries-against-conscience\/\" title=\"Second Federal Court Blocks Biden Mandate Requiring Doctors To Perform Trans Surgeries Against Conscience\">provide insurance coverage<\/a> for higher limits and at lower premiums, and to gain tax benefits, among other things.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Ivanka Trump Cleared<\/h3>\n<p>The appeals court, however, affirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-ivanka-trump-made-secret-move-weekend-fathers-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ivanka Trump<\/a> wasn\u2019t an agent of the Trump Organization during the relevant timeframe after the company agreed to conditions enacted by the state.<\/p>\n<p>The court found, &#8220;The record before us&#8230; indicates that defendant Ivanka Trump was no longer within the agreement\u2019s definition of &#8216;Trump Organization&#8217; by the date the tolling agreement was executed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It further stated, &#8220;The allegations against defendant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ivanka-trump-backs-organization-helping-churches-ukraine-become-literal-lighthouses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ivanka Trump<\/a> do not support any claims that accrued after February 6, 2016. Thus, all claims against her should have been dismissed as untimely.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump, the leading GOP candidate in the 2024 presidential race, celebrated the appellate court\u2019s ruling in a Truth Social message, calling the case &#8220;Election Interference.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A representative of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-trump-makes-defiant-gesture-entering-ny-attorney-general-letitia-james-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James\u2019<\/a> office pledged to continue the politically charged suit against Trump in a statement provided to CNN.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is a mountain of evidence that shows Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization falsely and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-democrats-believe-bidens-justice-department-will-prosecute-trump-warn-it-could-backfire\/\" title=\"Senate Democrats Believe Biden\u2019s Justice Department Will Prosecute Trump, Warn It Could Backfire\">fraudulently valued multiple assets<\/a> and misrepresented those values to financial institutions for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ivanka-trump-dismissed-from-new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-fraud-lawsuit\/\" title=\"Ivanka Trump removed from NY AG Letitia James' fraud case.\">significant economic gain<\/a>,&#8221; the representative said. &#8220;Those facts haven\u2019t changed.
