Support for Hillary Clinton as a Potential 2024 Candidate<\/h2>\n<p>A new poll released this week shows that Democrats have not written off Hillary Clinton as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/campaign-2024-an-early-look-at-the-possible-republican-contenders\/\" title=\"Campaign 2024: An Early Look At The Possible Republican Contenders\">potential candidate<\/a> to support in the event President Joe Biden drops out of the 2024 race.<\/p>\n<p>But her support was behind that of Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-jeanine-says-kamala-harris-set-disastrous-precedent-women-particular\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kamala Harris<\/a>, who this week was found to be the least-popular second in command since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hidden-nbc-article-harris-approval-rating-hits-time-low-never-seen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a> began polling the metric.<\/p>\n<p>Still, at age 75, Clinton could potentially still be a force in her party if the situation presented itself and if she was interested.<\/p>\n<h3>Poll Results: Preferred Democratic Candidate in 2024<\/h3>\n<p>A poll from <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/20230628_US_Premise.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Premise<\/a> that was released on Monday asked the question, \u201cIf President Biden does not run for reelection, which Democrat would be your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/radical-cultural-change-coming-to-america\/\" title=\"Radical Cultural Change Coming to America?\">preferred candidate<\/a> in 2024?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris took the top spot, but not by much.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Twenty-two percent of the poll\u2019s respondents said they would prefer Harris over someone else if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/letts-americans-going-conservative-biden-thinks-makes-threat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> does not run.<\/li>\n<li>Clinton, meanwhile, had the support of 17 percent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ron-desantis-makes-subtle-change-to-his-twitter-name-in-possible-hint-about-his-political-future\/\" title=\"DeSantis alters Twitter name, hints at political future.\">potential primary voters<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Neither number is objectively impressive, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hillary-clinton-donor-charged-police-find-footage-disturbing-sex-crimes-animal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clinton\u2019s<\/a> support shows there might be a path for her, even if she has been on the sidelines for nearly seven years.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton outperformed independent Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/john-fetterman-ruins-bernie-sanders-news-conference-people-cannot-take-eyes-off\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bernie Sanders<\/a> of Vermont as well as Democratic California Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newsoms-multiple-swipes-florida-desantis-responds-video-gavins-backyard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavin Newsom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The men polled at 11 percent and 9 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-addresses-comments-on-potential-2024-run-by-ivanka\/\" title=\"President Trump addresses comments on potential 2024 run by Ivanka\">potential candidates<\/a> who received votes were Democratic Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/aoc-meltdown-parody-account-gains-massive-amounts-followers-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez<\/a> of New York, Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.<\/p>\n<p>Each candidate polled at 7 percent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rob-schneider-deals-biden-brutal-blow-presidential-endorsement-honor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert Kennedy Jr.<\/a> did not poll above 5 percent in the Premise poll, but other polls have shown he has as much as 20 percent support among likely Democratic primary voters.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton\u2019s performance in the Premise poll is somewhat surprising given she has offered no indication she intends to run for public office again.<\/p>\n<p>Another takeaway: Fifty-nine percent of the poll\u2019s respondents said they do not want Biden to seek a second term in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/obama-makes-secret-power-move-biden-continues-flounder-white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the White House<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Premise conducted the survey from June 27 to June 26 and spoke to 2,068 Americans via its smartphone application.<\/p>\n<p>The pollster does not rely on traditional metrics such as a credibility interval.<\/p>\n<p>Of its methodology, Premise states, \u201cPremise used stratified sampling of its opt-in panel members, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/post-indictment-poll-offers-incredible-news-for-trump-he-beats-biden-but-desantis-doesnt\/\" title=\"New Poll Shows Trump Triumphs Over Biden, DeSantis Falls Short\">post stratification weighting based<\/a> on the American Community Survey to provide a representative sample.
