Hunter Biden was at Joe Biden\u2019s home the day he sent the messages, in which he claimed he was sitting next to his father and demanded Zhao follow through on a business commitment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No!&#8221; Joe Biden shouted as the reporter attempted to ask a follow-up question.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Reporter: &#8220;How involved were you in your son\u2019s Chinese shake-down text message? I sure hope whatever it is you are doing is very very very important.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hours later, Hunter Biden was pictured at his father\u2019s home sitting in the president\u2019s beloved 1967 Corvette Stingray, according to photos from the first son\u2019s abandoned laptop <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/photos-place-hunter-biden-at-fathers-house-the-day-he-invoked-dads-name-to-chinese-business-partner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> by the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Three days later, on Aug. 3, Hunter Biden touted his family&#8217;s value in a message to CEFC Energy Director Gongwen Dong.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Biden\u2019s are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this partnershipn . [sic],&#8221; Hunter Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Whistleblower-1-Transcript_Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. &#8220;Please let\u2019s not quibble over peanuts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>By Aug. 8, a Chinese official associated with CEFC Energy wired two payments totaling $5.1 million to the first son.<\/p>\n<p>Later, on Sept. 21, 2017, Hunter Biden referred to his father and CEFC Energy executives as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-taps-ex-colleague-of-hunter-bidens-lawyer-to-temporarily-run-doj-criminal-division\/\" title=\"Biden Taps Ex-Colleague Of Hunter Biden\u2019s Lawyer To Temporarily Run DOJ Criminal Division\">office mates<\/a>&#8221; in an <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/office-mates-joe-and-hunter-biden-shared-office-with-chinese-energy-firm-linked-to-chinese-intelligence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email<\/a> to the general manager of his K Street office building requesting new office access keys be made.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>At least two of Hunter Biden\u2019s business partners have come forward claiming Joe Biden was directly involved in the 2017 deal with CEFC Energy. One of those partners, Tony Bobulinski, said in October 2020 that he met with Joe and Hunter Biden in person in May 2017 to discuss the deal. The other, Rob Walker, told FBI agents in December 2017 that he was in the room when Joe and Hunter Biden met with CEFC Energy officials at a Washington, D.C., hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden\u2019s attorney, Chris Clark, seemingly <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/hunter-bidens-lawyer-responds-to-bombshell-texts-my-client-was-too-doped-up-on-crack-to-be-trusted\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">verified<\/a> the legitimacy of his client\u2019s text messages, but said in a statement Friday that the first son\u2019s &#8220;verifiable words or actions&#8221; can\u2019t be trusted because he was too intoxicated on crack cocaine at the time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hunter Biden claimed he sat beside his father in messages to a Chinese businessman.
