The parents of Johnson&#8217;s wife Chandra Janway, along with their 11-year-old nephew, were found shot to death in their Muskogee, Oklahoma, home.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;It was traumatizing to find out that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-pledges-to-stay-in-2024-white-house-race-if-he-is-criminally-charged\/\" title=\"Trump Pledges to Stay in 2024 White House Race If He Is Criminally Charged\">long-standing family<\/a> who had made so many contributions to our community were involved in this type of incident. It was even more bone-chilling to find out there was a child involved,&#8221; said Muskogee Mayor Marlon Coleman.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to reports, it was Johnson&#8217;s mother-in-law, Terry, who allegedly shot and killed her husband and grandson before taking her own life. The police received a chilling 911 call from Terry, who claimed someone had a gun before abruptly hanging up.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered a body in the hallway near the front door. As they heard gunshots, they quickly removed the body from the home and urged anyone else inside to come out. The other two bodies were found in a different area of the house.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson, who was scheduled to participate in a street event in Chicago, has withdrawn from the race due to the heartbreaking tragedy.<\/p>\n<h3>A Family Marked by Tragedy<\/h3>\n<p>This is not the first time the Janway family has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nascar-champion-jimmie-johnsons-in-laws-die-in-suspected-murder-suicide-it-wasnt-their-first-tragedy\/\" title=\"NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson's in-laws tragically die in suspected murder-suicide, not their first sorrow.\">experienced profound loss<\/a>. In 2014, Chandra&#8217;s younger brother, Jordan Janway, tragically lost his life in a skydiving accident. Jordan, an experienced skydiver, died following a midair collision. The news came just hours after Johnson finished second in a race at Martinsville Speedway.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The Johnsons are saddened by the tragic passing of Chandra&#8217;s brother, Jordan Janway, 27,&#8221; the family expressed on Johnson&#8217;s personal website. &#8220;Jordan was an incredible son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be dearly missed. Please keep the Janway family in your thoughts and prayers. The family asks for privacy at this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The cause of Jordan&#8217;s death was attributed to a malfunctioning chip that should have automatically deployed his parachute during an emergency.
