The IRS investigation into the younger Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/22\/irs-investigation-into-hunter-biden-started-as-probe-into-foreign-pornography-ring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">began<\/a> in 2018 as an \u201coffshoot\u201d of a federal probe into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/irs-investigation-into-hunter-biden-started-as-probe-into-foreign-pornography-ring\/\" title=\"IRS investigates Hunter Biden for involvement in foreign pornography ring.\">foreign pornography ring<\/a>. The FBI even came across Hunter Biden\u2019s infamous laptop a year later, and verified the computer\u2019s authenticity, but <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/22\/fbi-knew-hunter-bidens-laptop-was-authentic-a-year-before-pressuring-big-tech-to-censor-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">refused<\/a> to share its full contents with the IRS.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Justice Department\u2019s alleged foot-dragging and refusal to permit IRS special agents to follow the evidence allowed the statutes of limitations for 2014 and 2015 to expire, notwithstanding that Mr. Biden\u2019s defense counsel had, according to [whistleblower Gary] Shapley, agreed to more than one extension,\u201d O\u2019Connor wrote. \u201cFar worse, Mr. Garland\u2019s failure to designate Mr. Weiss a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-head-of-doj-tax-division-urges-federal-judge-to-trash-hunter-biden-plea-deal\/\" title=\"Ex-DOJ Tax Division Chief urges judge to reject Hunter Biden plea deal.\">special counsel essentially guaranteed<\/a> that Mr. Biden wouldn\u2019t be prosecuted for any of his alleged tax crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors also <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/22\/delaware-prosecutors-hid-fbi-bribery-document-from-irs-investigators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concealed<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/everything-we-know-about-the-biden-bribery-scheme-from-the-fbi-document\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FD-1023 form<\/a> housed with the FBI that alleged a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/whistleblower-alleges-fbi-has-evidence-of-biden-engaging-in-bribery-scheme-with-foreign-national\/\" title=\"FBI has evidence of Biden's bribery scheme with foreign national, says whistleblower.\">criminal bribery scheme<\/a> between the Biden family and a Ukrainian energy titan.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden ultimately struck a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/20\/hunter-bidens-plea-deal-is-a-coverup-disguised-as-justice\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=hunter-bidens-plea-deal-is-a-coverup-disguised-as-justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plea deal<\/a> with federal prosecutors that was limited to two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/presidents-son-gets-sweetheart-deal-from-feds-on-gun-tax-charges\/\" title=\"President\u2019s Son Gets Sweetheart Deal From Feds on Gun, Tax Charges\">misdemeanor tax crimes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-bidens-charges-are-nothing-but-a-diversion\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's charges are merely a distraction.\">felony firearm possession<\/a>. Biden would avoid prosecution for the firearm felony charge, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/20\/hunter-bidens-wrist-slap-on-gun-tax-crimes-is-a-complete-smokescreen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contingent upon<\/a> 24 months of sobriety and forfeiture of gun rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe \u2018criminal information\u2019 \u2014 the charging document in the absence of an indictment,\u201d O\u2019Connor explained, \u201cstates that Mr. Biden received but didn\u2019t pay federal taxes on \u2018taxable income in excess of $1,500,000.00\u2019 in 2017 and 2018.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHouse Oversight Committee Republicans claim to have seen Treasury Department suspicious-activity reports suggesting that Mr. Biden received vastly more than that during the years the IRS was investigating,\u201d O\u2019Connor wrote. \u201cCongress, in fulfillment of its oversight obligation, must learn and share with the American public what evidence the IRS gathered, what evidence its agents weren\u2019t permitted to obtain, and what charges might have been brought if they had.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The federal judge assigned to Hunter Biden\u2019s upcoming hearing, U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, was appointed by former President Donald Trump and supported by Delaware\u2019s two Democrat senators. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/06\/26\/judge-assigned-hunter-biden-plea-gave-to-democrats-gop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> to the New York Post, Noreika has a history of political contributions to Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton\u2019s 2014 campaign, Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney\u2019s 2012 presidential campaign, former Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain\u2019s 2008 presidential campaign, and former Pennsylvania Sen.
