The package also includes Javelin and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-confirms-sending-anti-radiation-missiles-to-ukraine\/\" title=\"U.S. Confirms Sending Anti-Radiation Missiles to Ukraine\">high-speed anti-radiation<\/a> (HARM) missiles, demolition munitions, obstacle-clearing equipment, artillery rounds, and more than 22 million rounds of small arms ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>The package marks the 41<sup>st<\/sup> time that the United States has provided military aid to Ukraine using the presidential drawdown since the war began in 2022. The presidential drawdown program allows the president to transfer items and services from U.S. stocks and divert them to Ukraine without congressional approval during emergency situations.<\/p>\n<p>The new package is meant to strengthen the new counteroffensive that Ukraine is launching in an effort to take back territory that had been taken by Russia. The White House said that the new package includes \u201ckey capabilities\u201d which are critical in aiding Ukraine\u2019s counteroffensive operations and air defense systems.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201c[The aid] includes key capabilities to support Ukraine\u2019s counteroffensive operations \u2026 as well as additional armored vehicles, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-announces-new-800-million-security-assistance-package-for-ukraine\/\" title=\"Biden Announces New 0 Million Security Assistance Package For Ukraine\">anti-armor systems<\/a>, critical munitions, and other equipment to help Ukraine push back on Russia\u2019s war of aggression,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the Pentagon, the U.S. has already delivered more than $15 billion in weapons and equipment from its own stocks to Ukraine since February 2022.
