The former president <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/12\/23\/donald-trump-defends-covid-19-vaccines-during-candace-owens-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sparred<\/a> with Daily Wire host Candace Owens over the safety and efficacy of the jabs during a December 2021 interview. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/trump-says-he-saved-100-million-lives-covid-vaccines-1774178\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">January interview<\/a>, Trump was asked if he would \u201cacknowledge\u201d the jabs \u201cwere not as safe or effective as we were told by the medical community at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Looking at the Data<\/h2>\n<p>Despite Trump\u2019s avoidance of the matter, numerous medical studies have shown there are significant risks associated with getting the Covid shot that were not originally disclosed to the public \u2014 chief among them being cardio-related problems.<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, 76 doctors sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/brownstone.org\/articles\/letter-to-the-u-k-gov-from-76-doctors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a> to U.K. health officials, urging the government to seriously consider whether to authorize emergency use of Covid shots for infants and young children. In their letter, the doctors pointed to several key points undercutting the rationale for the shots\u2019 approval, including the low risk the virus poses to children, existing natural immunity, poor vaccine efficacy, and potential long-term harms from the jabs.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThere has been great concern about myocarditis in adolescents and young adults, especially in males after the second dose,\u201d the letter reads. \u201cThe emerging <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.jpeds.2022.03.032\">evidence<\/a> of persistent cardiac abnormalities in adolescents with post-mRNA vaccine myopericarditis \u2026 suggests this is far from \u2018mild and short-lived\u2019. The potential for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/by-refusing-to-acknowledge-the-jabs-risks-trump-helps-the-covid-cult-evade-accountability\/\" title=\"Trump's denial of vaccine risks aids Covid cult's avoidance of responsibility.\">longer term effects requires<\/a> further study and calls for the strictest application of the precautionary principle in respect of the youngest and most vulnerable children.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The letter was highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/robert-malone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Robert Malone<\/a>, who helped develop mRNA technology and has been critical of Covid lockdown policies.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns regarding myocarditis and other heart-related problems following Covid vaccination were also highlighted in a study published in October by Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/floridahealthcovid19.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20221007-guidance-mrna-covid19-vaccines-analysis.pdf?utm_medium=email&#038;utm_source=govdelivery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">analysis<\/a>, researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/content.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/FLDOH\/bulletins\/3312697\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">found<\/a> \u201can 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination\u201d and noted that the \u201crisk associated with mRNA vaccination should be weighed against the risk associated with COVID-19 infection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Marty Makary, a surgeon and public policy researcher at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6318580471112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cited<\/a> the study when discussing adverse events related to the Covid jabs during a Fox News interview earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Ladapo\u2019s office also used the Florida analysis as the basis for updating its <a href=\"https:\/\/floridahealthcovid19.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20221007-guidance-mrna-covid19-vaccines-doc.pdf?utm_medium=email&#038;utm_source=govdelivery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">guidance<\/a> on the shots in October, advising against giving them to 18- to 39-year-old males. Ladapo\u2019s office issued <a href=\"http:\/\/ww11.doh.state.fl.us\/comm\/_partners\/covid19_report_archive\/press-release-assets\/g2-jtr_QWBT4hJpqr_20220308-1923.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">similar guidance<\/a> in March 2022 advising against offering the experimental jabs to children under 18 due to the \u201c[l]imited risk of severe illness\u201d posed by the virus, the \u201c[h]igh prevalence of existing immunity,\u201d and the risk of myocarditis, among others.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Escaping Accountability<\/h2>\n<p>Make no mistake, any leader can and should look for ways to protect his or her people\u2019s lives during a pandemic. Trump\u2019s mobilization of Operation Warp Speed was undoubtedly motivated by such a desire, as he\u2019s regularly indicated. It is highly conceivable that health officials lied to the former president as much as they did to the country. But whether it\u2019s because he popularized figures like <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/anthony-fauci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Anthony Fauci<\/a> or thinks the shots\u2019 benefits outweigh the risks, the former president\u2019s refusal to acknowledge the jabs\u2019 problems is providing cover for the very same entities that lied about their efficacy.<\/p>\n<p>From the moment they were authorized for emergency use, legacy media, government agencies, health \u201cexperts,\u201d and the shots\u2019 manufacturers launched an orchestrated campaign aimed at convincing the public they came with no significant liabilities. \u201cThese data confirm the favorable efficacy and safety profile of our vaccine,\u201d Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pfizer.com\/news\/press-release\/press-release-detail\/pfizer-and-biontech-confirm-high-efficacy-and-no-serious\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> in response to the release of a company analysis that claimed the Pfizer shot showed \u201c[n]o serious safety concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While receiving his first dose of the Moderna shot in December 2020, Fauci <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/fauci-receives-vaccine-extremely-confident-effective\/story?id=74859728\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> he felt \u201cextreme confidence in the safety and the efficacy\u201d of the jab and \u201cencourage[d] everyone who has the opportunity to get vaccinated so that we can have a veil of protection over this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/francis-collins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Francis Collins<\/a>, the former director of the National Institutes of Health, went a step further. Not only did he market the shots as \u201csafe and effective,\u201d but he also told <a href=\"https:\/\/baptistnews.com\/article\/francis-collins-give-god-the-glory-for-vaccines-but-roll-up-your-sleeve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baptist News Global<\/a> they \u201c[felt] like a gift from God\u201d and encouraged church clergies to \u201cplay an important role\u201d in getting people jabbed. He even advised the clergy to set up \u201cvaccination clinics in their fellowship halls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Any of these entities could have informed the public that while they were confident in the shots\u2019 efficacy, they weren\u2019t fully aware of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chelsea-clinton-appears-to-call-on-facebook-to-ban-tucker-carlson-post\/\" title=\"Chelsea Clinton Appears To Call On Facebook To Ban Tucker Carlson Post\">long-term side effects<\/a>. They could have further emphasized that everyone \u2014 regardless of whether they got the jab \u2014 was assuming a risk.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, they treated the jabs as infallible, telling Americans to get them in order to \u201cprotect grandma\u201d and get society \u201cback to normal.\u201d Even when reports began to surface documenting the jabs\u2019 potential risks, the same people who spent years lying about the efficacy of lockdowns and mask mandates swooped in, all but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/02\/04\/though-rare-moderna-covid-vaccine-recipients-have-higher-risk-of-heart-inflammation-than-pfizer.html%5C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">telling<\/a> people to bury their heads in the sand and act like it was no big deal.<\/p>\n[<strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/14\/when-republicans-take-back-congress-they-must-hold-the-covid-cabal-accountable\/\">When Republicans Take Back Congress, They Must Hold The Covid Cabal Accountable<\/a><\/strong>]\n<p>Holding Big Pharma and public health officials accountable for their vaccine falsehoods is a must. And Trump\u2019s sizable influence among Republican voters could be instrumental in achieving it. Trump\u2019s acknowledgment of the issue and a potential conservative response could give Republican politicos the push they need to investigate and punish these entities where appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, glossing over the shots\u2019 side effects may appeal to a large swath of the electorate who are likely unaware of such issues. But this isn\u2019t about doing what\u2019s politically beneficial; it\u2019s about saying what\u2019s true and giving America the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/11\/03\/there-can-be-no-amnesty-on-lockdowns-without-a-reckoning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Covid reckoning<\/a> it <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/03\/no-forgiveness-for-pandemic-sins-until-the-guilty-repent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">desperately needs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump has consistently ignored the proven side effects of Covid vaccines, despite increasing evidence that the shots were not as safe or effective as claimed by manufacturers.
