Terry Janway, 68, allegedly shot and killed her husband, Jack Janway, 69, and their 11-year-old grandson, Dalton Janway. The Janways are the parents of Johnson&#8217;s wife, Chandra Janway, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox23.com\/news\/local\/3-people-dead-after-shooting-in-muskogee\/article_96008038-14d4-11ee-a67a-efcfc90e85e4.html?taid=649ac4c9f8ccd40001c24137&#038;utm_campaign=trueanthem&#038;utm_medium=trueanthem&#038;utm_source=twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KOKI-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities received a distressing call at 9:05 p.m. on Monday from the Janways&#8217; residence. A frantic female caller reported a disturbance and the presence of a gun before abruptly hanging up, as reported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.muskogeephoenix.com\/news\/update-murder-suicide-victims-identified\/article_3bc3f14e-14f8-11ee-8a3d-f7df4d24ff6c.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Muskogee Phoenix<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, police discovered Jack Janway lying lifeless in a hallway within the house. As they cautiously entered, a gunshot echoed from inside, intensifying the already tense situation.<\/p>\n<p>After safely removing Jack Janway, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nascar-great-jimmie-johnson-loses-3-family-members-in-bone-chilling-tragedy\/\" title=\"Jimmie Johnson, NASCAR legend, loses 3 family members in tragic incident.\">law enforcement repeatedly called<\/a> for the occupants of the house to come out, but their pleas went unanswered.<\/p>\n<p>With no response, officers made the difficult decision to enter the house, where they discovered the lifeless bodies of Terry Janway and young Dalton Janway.<\/p>\n<p>Muskogee Police Officer Lynn Hamlin stated that the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide, but investigations are still ongoing. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and addressing mental health issues, urging the community to support and care for one another.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Johnson&#8217;s racing team has made the difficult decision to withdraw from an upcoming NASCAR race in Chicago as they mourn the loss. The team, LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LegacyMotorclub\/status\/1673754839681998848?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>, &#8220;The Johnson family has asked for privacy at this time and no further statements will be made.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>NASCAR also expressed their condolences, stating, &#8220;We are saddened by the tragic deaths of members of Chandra Johnson&#8217;s family.
