In the recording, Trump apparently shows \u201csecret information\u201d to a writer and a publisher. CNN obtained the alleged audio in which Trump is heard telling the pair \u2014 during an interview he knew was being recorded \u2014 that he was showing them \u201csecret information.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Critics, including Trump himself, say that the leak is a clear sign that the investigation into Trump is politically motivated. We\u2019ll have a full report on tomorrow\u2019s morning wire.<\/p>\n<h3>Criminal Investigation Into Prigozhin And Soldiers Who Mounted Rebellion Dropped<\/h3>\n<p>Russian investigators have formally closed a criminal investigation into mercenary soldier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/who-are-yevgeny-prigozhin-and-wagner\">Yevgeny Prigozhin<\/a> and his Wagner Group forces after their mutiny against President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/vladimir-putin\">Vladimir Putin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Russia\u2019s Federal Security Service (FSB) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fsb.ru\/fsb\/press\/message\/single.htm%21id%3D10439759%40fsbMessage.html\">announced<\/a> on Tuesday that since Prigozhin and his men had \u201cceased activities directed at committing the crime,\u201d the criminal investigation into them would not be moving forward. The Kremlin had previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/russia-drops-criminal-case-against-prigozhin-soldiers-who-participated-in-mutiny-will-not-be-punished\">indicated<\/a> that the charges would be dropped, but the criminal case was not formally closed until Tuesday. The news comes after Putin initially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/putin-condemns-wagner-mutiny-as-stab-in-the-back-vows-punishment-for-rebellion\">promised<\/a> punitive actions against those who challenged his authority by questioning the war in Ukraine and occupying a key Russian military headquarters.<\/p>\n<h3>Supreme Court Independent State Legislature Ruling<\/h3>\n<p>The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 today, that state courts can act as a check on state legislatures regarding federal election issues, including electoral maps.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court that \u201cstate courts retain the authority to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-scotus-ruling-limits-state-court-interference-with-election-laws\/\" title=\"SCOTUS ruling curbs state court meddling in election laws.\">apply state constitutional restraints<\/a> when legislatures act under the power conferred upon them by the Elections Clause. But federal courts must not abandon their own duty to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-decides-state-legislators-do-not-have-unchecked-power-to-set-election-rules\/\" title=\"Supreme Court limits state legislators' authority over election rules.\">exercise judicial review<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have a full breakdown of how that could affect the 2024 election tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<h3>DOJ\u2019s Report On Epstein\u2019s Death<\/h3>\n<p>The U.S. The Department of Justice released a 120-page report after completing its investigation into the death of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ investigation concluded that Epstein killed himself with help from \u201csignificant misconduct\u201d on the part of the prison guards. Inspector General Michael Horowitz faulted 13 Bureau of Prisons employees with negligence and job failures, including failing to monitor Epstein, lying about it, allowing Epstein to have extra clothing in his cell, and failing to make sure he had a cellmate as recommended.<\/p>\n<h3>Fentanyl Driving Opioid Deaths<\/h3>\n<p>In 2021, more than 106,000 Americans died from a drug-related overdose, and new data shows that two-thirds of those deaths were directly related to synthetic opioids \u2014 with fentanyl being the biggest culprit.
