Scott has surpassed Haley and Pence in this category, trailing only Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who holds 31 percent of the second<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/de-blasio-busts-out-pizza-chart-with-bizarre-toppings-for-educational-stunt-ahead-of-nyc-primaries\/\" title=\"De Blasio Busts Out Pizza Chart With Bizarre Toppings For Educational Stunt Ahead Of NYC Primaries\">-place vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The South Carolina senator received only 3 percent of the first<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nyc-elections-board-takes-down-mayoral-race-results-after-finding-discrepancy\/\" title=\"NYC Elections Board Takes Down Mayoral Race Results After Finding \u2018Discrepancy\u2019\">-choice vote<\/a>, the same amount that he did in April. These numbers are consistent with nationwide polling, with the <em>RealClearPolitics<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2024\/president\/us\/2024_republican_presidential_nomination-7548.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">average<\/a> showing Scott with 3.5 percent of the Republican primary vote.<\/p>\n<p>Scott also has the third-highest favorability among the current crop of candidates, trailing only DeSantis and former president Donald Trump. Forty-six percent of GOP voters view him positively, compared with 6 percent who view him negatively. DeSantis&#8217;s numbers, on the other hand, have fallen behind since April, from 31 percent to 22 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his campaign, Scott has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/tim-scott-takes-on-radical-left-first-2024-ad-says-hes-living-proof-american-dream\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">focused<\/a> on expanding opportunity for Americans, touting his rise from poverty to public office.
