The New York State Education Department promulgated a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysed.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/programs\/student-support-services\/creating-a-safe-supportive-and-affirming-school-environment-for-transgender-and-gender-expansive-students.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">42-page document<\/a> outlining how educators should address trans-identifying students. The state\u2019s directive mirrors the guidance previously issued by the National Education Association (NEA), which released a similar document in 2015 titled <a href=\"https:\/\/hrc-prod-requests.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/files\/assets\/resources\/Schools-In-Transition.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cSchools in Transition: A Guide for Supporting Transgender Students in K-12 Schools<\/a>.\u201d The Freedom Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomfoundation.com\/teachers-unions\/neas-schools-in-transition-guide-instructs-teachers-to-encourage-transgenderism-in-the-classroom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">uncovered<\/a> the stunning report last month, which reveals the near decade long push by the teachers union for radical gender ideology in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>New York\u2019s new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/afl-urges-investigation-into-whether-garland-is-improperly-targeting-parents-with-schools-memo\/\" title=\"AFL Urges Investigation Into Whether Garland Is Improperly Targeting Parents With Schools Memo\">public school policies<\/a> are eerily similar to the NEA\u2019s 2015 guide. Both documents begin with an introduction that insists students \u2014 therefore, minors \u2014 are able to be neither male nor female, may change their gender day by day, and go so far as instructing teachers on how to keep a student\u2019s gender transition a secret from the child\u2019s parents.<\/p>\n<h3>Keeping Gender Transitions a Secret<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>\u201cSome TGE (transgender and gender expansive) students have not talked to their families about their gender identity because of safety concerns or lack of acceptance and may begin their transition at school without parent\/guardian knowledge.\u201d<\/i> It continues, <i>\u201cOnly the student knows whether it is safe to share their identity with caregivers, and schools should be mindful that some TGE students do not want or cannot have their parents\/guardians know about their transgender status.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The guidance goes on to mandate that all employees and students conform, demanding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>\u201cAll school staff members and students must refer to students by their chosen names and pronouns and schools should create opportunities to confirm the correct information with all their students in a manner that respects student privacy.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Even further, the schools will censure anyone who doesn\u2019t conform:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>\u201cIntentionally referring to a student, verbally or in writing, by a pronoun inconsistent with the student\u2019s gender identity or by a name other than the student\u2019s affirmed name is a NYS Human Rights Law violation and is unacceptable.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Imagine getting a call from the principal\u2019s office because your child called a boy a boy or called a girl a girl. Even worse, imagine finding out your 8th grader is \u201ctransitioning\u201d behind your back, and the school district is intentionally preventing you from finding out.<\/p>\n<h3>Ignoring Science and Biology<\/h3>\n<p>Continuing to ignore science, the guidance requires that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cStudents must be permitted to participate in all school activities (for example, day and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-school-district-instructs-teachers-not-to-inform-parents-about-childrens-transgender-identity\/\" title=\"Florida School District Instructs Teachers Not to Inform Parents About Children\u2019s Transgender Identity\">overnight field trips<\/a>) in accordance with their gender identity asserted at school.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Additionally, transgender and \u201cgender expansive\u201d students must be provided access to facilities such as restrooms, locker rooms, and changing rooms consistent with their gender identity asserted at school.<\/p>\n<p>These <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-york-state-adopts-neas-radical-gender-agenda-for-public-schools\/\" title=\"NY State adopts NEA's radical gender agenda for schools.\">mind-boggling assertions mimic<\/a> the NEA\u2019s 2015 guidance, which declared that regardless of the feelings of their peers, transgender students must be allowed to use the restroom that matches their new gender identity. The teachers union guidance also defies biological facts by insisting that transgender students do not have any athletic advantage and must be allowed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-judge-blocks-bidens-directives-on-transgender-athletes\/\" title=\"Federal Judge Blocks Biden's Directives on Transgender Athletes\">join sports teams<\/a> that reflect their new gender identity.<\/p>\n<h3>The Impact of Left-wing Propaganda<\/h3>\n<p>This Left-wing propaganda crafted by the NEA in 2015 has finally infiltrated the largest public school system in the country and not without consequences. The number of young people who identify as transgender has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/06\/10\/science\/transgender-teenagers-national-survey.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nearly doubled<\/a> in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>It is obvious the NY guidance was inspired by the NEA\u2019s guidelines seeking to bombard our youth with progressive politics instead of actually educating them.
