This initiative, known as LIHWAP (Low Income Household Water Assistance Program), aims to support individuals who are at risk of losing access to water due to various reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Applying for LIHWAP benefits is simple and convenient, as it utilizes the same application process as the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. This means that eligible individuals can easily access the assistance they need without any additional hassle.<\/p>\n<h3>Who is Eligible for LIHWAP?<\/h3>\n<p>LIHWAP benefits are available to those who have experienced water disconnection, are currently at risk of having their water disconnected, or owe more than $50 in outstanding payments on their current water bill.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, individuals who do not owe any money on their water or sewer bill as of July 1 can also benefit from the water and sewer rate reduction program.
