It has been alleged that this professor fabricated results in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/deaths-can-be-counted-as-covid-19-years-after-infection-cdc\/\" title=\"Deaths Can be Counted as COVID-19 Years After Infection: CDC\">multiple papers<\/a> that were published in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/harvard-professor-who-studies-honesty-for-a-living-accused-of-faking-data\/\" title=\"Harvard Prof Accused of Faking Data in Honesty Research\">esteemed peer-reviewed journals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The <em>Chronicle of Higher Education<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronicle.com\/article\/a-weird-research-misconduct-scandal-about-dishonesty-just-got-weirder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> on June 16 that a 2012 paper co-written by Francesca Gino, a professor at Harvard Business School, relied on fraudulent data.<\/p>\n<p>The paper claimed to demonstrate that individuals who signed an honesty pledge at the beginning of a form were less likely to cheat compared to those who signed at the end. The study was based on three separate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-biden-admin-takes-soft-tone-on-china-in-long-awaited-report-on-origins-of-the-coronavirus\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Biden Admin Takes Soft Tone On China In Long-Awaited Report On Origins Of The Coronavirus\">experiments conducted<\/a> by five different researchers, which were then consolidated into one comprehensive paper.<\/p>\n<p>Max Bazerman, one of the co-authors of the paper, revealed to the <em>Chronicle<\/em> that Harvard University provided evidence proving that one of the experiments conducted had utilized fabricated data.<\/p>\n<p>This paper garnered over 500 citations from other scholars and was even referenced in a 2016 report on social and behavioral sciences by the Obama administration.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/300-million-year-old-godzilla-shark-species-given-official-name-by-scientists\/\" title=\"300 Million-Year-Old \u2018Godzilla Shark\u2019 Species Given Official Name By Scientists\">researchers published<\/a> another paper stating that they were unable to replicate their initial findings. Then, in August 2021, a group of three other researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/datacolada.org\/98\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted<\/a> their findings on a blog, revealing that data from one of the experiments in the 2012 paper had been manipulated. As a result, the 2012 paper was retracted a month later.<\/p>\n<p>The blog, DataColada, has since shared <a href=\"https:\/\/datacolada.org\/109\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">additional evidence<\/a> indicating that three other papers co-authored by Gino relied on falsified data. The authors of the blog contacted Harvard Business School in the fall of 2021 to express their concerns. Bazerman confirmed that these three papers are of &#8220;significant concern&#8221; to Harvard, although he did not specify if they were the same ones identified by the blog authors.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/defend-scotus-ads-beacon?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=beaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023maybeaconscotus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Gino has co-authored numerous studies on various topics in behavioral science, including decision-making, leadership, and unethical behavior. She has also served as a <a href=\"https:\/\/francescagino.com\/speaking-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speaker and consultant<\/a> for esteemed companies such as Google, Walmart, and Goldman Sachs.<\/p>\n<p>According to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hbs.edu\/faculty\/Pages\/profile.aspx?facId=271812\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">faculty bio<\/a>, Gino has been placed on administrative leave.
