Energy and tax plans are in the offing, he said.<\/p>\n<h3>A Comprehensive Border Plan<\/h3>\n<p>As part of his border plan, DeSantis would:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>End so-called catch and release<\/li>\n<li>Detain migrants crossing the border until their hearing dates<\/li>\n<li>Deny entry to any migrant at the border claiming political asylum<\/li>\n<li>Tax remittances from migrants living in the country illegally to pay for the construction of a border wall<\/li>\n<li>Move to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/afghans-brought-to-u-s-by-biden-deliver-250-children-securing-birthright-american-citizenship\/\" title=\"Afghans Brought to U.S. by Biden Deliver 250 Children, Securing Birthright American Citizenship\">end birthright citizenship<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Allow state and local officials to enforce federal immigration laws<\/li>\n<li>Employ U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/group-of-225-migrants-apprehended-in-west-texas-border-town\/\" title=\"Group of 225 Migrants Apprehended in West Texas Border Town\">law enforcement assets<\/a> across the border if necessary to stop the flow of fentanyl and other drugs into the United States<\/li>\n<li>Take unilateral executive action without waiting for Congress to act<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Trump has also pledged to end birthright citizenship and to continue the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/critics-slam-biden-admin-for-reopening-migrant-facility-for-children\/\" title=\"Critics slam Biden admin. for reopening migrant facility for children\">hardline immigration policies<\/a> he instituted as president.
